Oooh I would have had a field day here! Such a "Target rich environment" Biggrin

Terrible pilots..............they all missed Icon_evil

Really is madness, so many identical planes in such a small area.
wonder why so many would be happy to have the same aircraft as everyone else.
I cannot believe there was not one crash with so many up there flying.
unless they edited the crashes !
Look carefully, there are a few wrecks on the ground but none from major mid-airs
are you kidding me Shock

i have NO luck.
Well the forecast isn't great for this weekend, winds are forecast to make things miserable. I will be down there from 8:45 ish, if you're gonna fly, I'd suggest getting in early for the best chance at it, Sunday is slated to be a better day however. I'll have a new T28 Trojan, The TroCessnajan, Decathlon and Stryker ready to go so I hope for a bit of calm!
Um, as expected weather is not good, its already windy and rain is coming, perhaps tomorrow for me... *Fingers Crossed*
What an utterly crappo forecast for today. Frown

Ah well, I won't feel so bad about still not having a plane ready to fly.
Will continue getting my Brushless Glider ready. Having purchased a new DX7 RC Kit this week
& other bits, I now have everything to complete the Project. Progress has been slow due to other projects
including building some large built in shelving down one side of my garage (the incentive being to tidy the stuff
currently on the garage floor so I can access work benches for Model building etc).
Hopefully will turn up at the field next weekend with an actual flyable Model!
Boooo
Frown hope it clears up tommorrow , on a better note how good are my EELS! Biggrin
Hmm - the forecasts were supposed to be better for Sunday, but I'd have expected the winds to drop a bit by now. It's still rough outside - could blow a dog off a chain.
I've got to go to watch the daughter play in a soccer grand final at Auburn in the morning. Hopefully see you blokes at the field afterwards (if you haven't been blown to Westmead by then).
Cheers,
Steve
yeah at my place right now the trees are all bent over, its completely unflyable here Frown
Not looking good here.
Wind is very strong. Radio says 36 kph.
Think I'll give it a miss and continue painting my Cessna instead.

Paul
Yeah, perhaps this afternoon, the forecast says it will calm down
GDay All

I too am hoping for a shot later today however the wind is not expected to moderate until about 1800 hrs tonight as per Airservices Pilot Briefing.
I intend to review at about 1400hrs as if the gusts drop away we might be ok.
Cheers
Rob B
Hopefully be down there after 2pm if i can find that switch to turn it off Lol

Whooaaa, that has to be the ultimate backyard.
The weather seems to be tidying itself up nicely, wind is right down and the sun is shining.
I am going to finish washing my daughters 15 tons of clothing and get down to the field, today is shaping up to be quite nice? Fingers Crossed....

Cheers
Rob B
Well, good luck with everything you're doing over at the field this weekend gentlemen - I'd like to be there to test out a couple of developments since the weekend-before-last, but they'll have to wait until the 12th.
I'm heading off to Temora on Friday for the warbirds weekend flying with the old man, and the son. The recently restored "Black Diamonds" F-86 Sabre is going up for the first time at a public display. I can remember seeing Mirages flying when I was a kid but I can't remember seeing the RAAF Sabres, so this should be good (along with the spitfire, boomerang, kittyhawk, vampire, meteor, ...).
All the best,
Steve
Have a good time Steve.
I'm sure the Sabre will be well worth the trip.
I saw some footage on youtube of the maiden flight
of the restored Black Diamond sabre and she looked real nice.
Hope weather is good for you and you take plenty of photos so that you
can post here. Wink

Paul
Cheers Paul - thanks for the good wishes!
All the best for the upcoming weekend - and yes, I'll get some happy snaps (hopefully some that can be used for reference as warbirds subjects later on).
Steve
Have fun at Temora, only a few weeks till I'm down there Smile

So who's flying when this weekend? The forecast looks promising, how many of you Fathers are we gonna see on Sunday Wink
I planning for a Saturday parachute drop in at the field Wink
But would like to get there early though, how early can you start flying down there ?
I was thinking about 8 AM
im down for saturday with my boy early , then if ppl stay longer will drop him to my missus' work at 11 or something and then come back..

as for sunday paul and myself are a definate no due to fatherly commitments.. Biggrin
Yeah, I think I'll no show on Sunday so will get there early saturday. Will target 8ish
I'll be there Saturday, but as Kev has just said we both will be unavailable Sunday.
Sometimes you just have to miss out
Any "brave" fathers flying Sunday? Smile

Paul
Gday All

I am a bee's you know what away from successfully negotiating 2 days worth of flying AND a trip to Kellets. Biggrin
Wish me luck.
However will absolutely be there on saturday after the Kellets ram raid.
My current understanding of the spousal situation is that the fly on Sunday is dependant upon how much I spend at Kellets.

Cheers

Haven't been down to the field for the last 2 weekends and this weekend isn't looking promising as well due to Father's day Sunday and my boy's Soccor presentation Sat morning. Trying to finish my Brushless Glider as well. I'll see how go. All the best to all the Dad's and happy flying as well!
Will be down tomorrow from 8ish, I believe Darren will be mowing. Cya there!!! Sunday is still tentative for me but I believe Chris will be down so the gate will be open.
