Have to say I'm sorry I haven't been down, have been working every day since the Sunday before Christmas, I had half a chance to come down today, batteries were charged but I slept right through my alarm and didn't wake till 12! Will try again tomorrow morning.

Extremely jealous of the Extra Steve, looks great!
Very Nice plane, Love to see that in Action.

Wondering which day you will be at the field with the "monster" bits.
I am easy either Sat or Sun, however will be hungover to the max Sunday due to a Sat night party that is going to be "intense".

Cheers
Rob B
I didn't make it down to the field today but I'll be going down in the morning (Sunday).
Sounds like a few people are also going down tomorrow.
Might even maiden my California 28 (High Wing Balsa Trainer) - have brought it down a few times but it hasn't flown yet.
See you guys tomorrow.
Hi all,
Just to let you know that I won't be flying this coming Saturday (23rd Jan) as I am going to be out of town.
I am hoping to be back in time for a fly on Sunday morning, but I can not guarantee that I will make it.

Cheers
Chris M
Hopefully will be there on Sat & Sun this weekend, gotta make sure my Trojan is airworthy for Tuesday!

Amazing Knife Edge!
That was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooooooooooood flyingggggggggggggg. Smile
Could have been very interesting if a car just happened to come along that road at the time. Redface

Paul
6:45am and the wind has already picked up (Baulkham Hills area).
I'll have coffee & breakfast and consider whether it's even worth going down to the field.
Yes, it's blowing pretty hard here (Winston Hills) too.
Going by the old gum tree across the road I'd say we'll be lucky
to get any flying in.
Will finish breakfast and stroll down to field anyway to check it out.

Paul
Same here. Too keen a flyer not to at least go down and try for a fly.
I assuming there is no flying down at field with the constant light rain.
Even though i love playing in the rain my transmitter wont like it too much, though it won't bother the plane.

But if it lets up i may go down this afternoon.

Steve Smile
I'm hoping that the rain clears and I will be able to good down to the field this arvo.

Chris M
I also want to go this arvo. Let me know what time you'll be there.
The weather forecast says that the rain should ease in the afternoon (http://www.bom.gov.au/weather/nsw/forec ... dney.shtml).
It looks pretty good now actually, certainly nice still air - there's no breeze to speak of.
Good luck if you're heading down there, unfortunately, we've got DIY jobs to do here today Frown
Will head down to field shortly if any one wants to come down, please let me know ASAP otherwise i may do some other stuff.

Steve
Steve,

I plan to be there at 3pm.

Colin
I'm looking at going at about 3-30pm after my taxi duties are finished
Weather forecast for the weekend looks dull! Can't make it Saturday, hoping to get down there Sunday, Was glad to finally properly fly the Funjet on Aussie day, need some real space to really open her up though Wink
Its Nice to here that theres another Funjet up and flying around, Looking forward to seeing it scream across the Field.

Steve Smile
Hi,

I have a folding prop that fits 2.3mm shaft. I want to make the hole bigger to fit 3.2mm shaft but I don't have the tools. Can someone do this for me please?

Regards,
Colin
Gday Colin

I would be happy to help you out with the above, have just the toools to do this.
Also, funny article below involving a model aircraft in the UK, luckily Toongabbie residents are obviously not as uppity as their Petworth counterparts.

Crash alert as model aircraft mistaken for real thing

Published Date: 17 April 2008
THE police helicopter was in action over Petworth last night after a member of the public reported he had seen an aircraft crash.
A police spokesman said the alarm was raised shortly before 7pm yesterday (Tuesday, April 15) when a caller reported seeing an aircraft over the town then disappear from sight.

The emergency crew in the helicopter scoured the area before deciding the sighting was a model aircraft.

Weather looks great, no wind, cannot wait to get down the field for a fly, So who is coming down to hold the umbrella for some extreme flying. Lol

Steve Smile

i guess on a serious note its a disheartening when we have weather like this on the few days we get to fly,
I would assume the field will not be able be driven down to and there more than likely some flooded areas.
i am curious though so i may go down later this morning and check it out as it seems to have stop raining as I'm typing away and the wind has died down quite a bit.

That poor salt water desalination plant, all it wants to do is make very expensive fresh water and free fresh water is just falling out of the sky, can you believe that.
Yes, the Government's good at spending our (taxpayer) money on selling ice to the eskimos. A geniune decision to ensure our water supply or political point scoring?
More important things though - a bit sad about being grounded in this soggy weather Frown probably wont be any better tomorrow, so hope to see you guys down the field in better conditions soon.
