Hi Guys,
No flying for me this W/E as we are going away for a few days.
Hope the weather is OK for you all to get some time in the air, at this stage I would guess Monday is the best option.
Anyway have a good one and I might see you Sunday next W/E.

Cheers
Chris M
It weather is OK , will be down Tomorrow morning only, as i have lots of work this weekend to do and catch up on.

Enjoy all and have a great long weekend.

Steve Smile
I will be heading down at 8.30. Just checked out all of my weather sites and it doesnt look to promising all though it looks pretty good here at the moment. Fingers crossed.
Hope Darren is bringing the mower, I droped in for a quick fly yesterday afternoon and the strip is getting a bit too long.
Tomorrow for me and Kev I hope..........Smile
Some modifications done to power setup of F14
so hopefully we will remaiden her.
Also, did some changes to Shuttle maybe she has a bit more speed now.
Just woke up to rain on the balcony roof. Hopefully will try for tomorrow or Monday

Same here - Junior was trying to convince me and my lazy arse to pack the Trojan into the car, but my Oktoberfest excesses from last night mean I am moving slowly this morning. I don't think we'd make it back up that slippery exit ramp at the moment Frown
Good plan to give it miss guys. There was about 10 guys down flying this morning, most of use got in 2 or 3 flights. Then Darren arrived and started mowing and just as he finished the runway DOWN IT CAME, so most uf us left because it didnt look like stopping...... bl%#dy rain.
An update: Junior and I walked down to the strip to check things out today and to get to the point, it's a great weekend for building/painting Frown

Although the strip looks good from the top of the ramp, there was a lot of water on it when we got up close. Once the rain stops and the groundwater drains off though it will be alright - it might just be a few days before that happens, unfortunately.
October 9 - 10 Weekend ..

Well below is the snapshot.. Looks hopeful weather wise .. Hopefully the flood plains have dried out enough Paranoid

Hi Guys not sure who's down Tomorrow with the race an all.
Was Thinking going down for a couple of hours in morning before retiring to BBQ and lounge the rest of the day.
I'm out tomorrow
I misinterpreted the above comments and after being away for 4 weeks on a road trip to far north Queensland (Smile), I was busting to fly so I tripped down to the field. Noone was there but the runway was still short wnough for a couple of quick flights.
On the first flight, I was being dogged by the magpie and almost tripped in some mud waliking backwards to a flying position! The plane mimicked my almost tripping action but both recovered without loss of dignity. I bounced around inthe wind for a couple of flights before getting a bit sensible and deciding it was maybe a bit gusty for relaxed come-back flying and even if I did some cool ground avoiding maneuver - who would be there to see it? Frown.
i thought it was a bit gusty....i spent hours working on my spit sat night in false hope that it would get a run out on sun.....
Instead Sun was spent starting on my catalina build......bring on those flooded flying field days!
Well, Willy says it will be windy enough to blow a dog off a chain again on Saturday Frown ... but at least that might help with evaporation, since it's raining now and is supposed to be raining again tomorrow and chucking it down on Friday. Hmm ... good building weather I guess!
Too bad we haven't got a club-house where we can build and swear about the weather between cups of tea/coffee.

hell yeah that would be awesome if we had a place like that(specially for the pilots that cant build for sh#t and could con the builders into doing the tricky stuff muhuwahwah) , we could even have a club build.. damn . maybe one day...

hmmm.. actually what we are describing here sounds alot like dads house .. Smile
A club house - that sounds like a real good idea!!!!ThumbupThumbup
