Well, now that would be a good move and received well. Time to move on this I think. Over to you. I am cool for tomorrow.
I agree we should invite all members to the Enigma site in the AM for a club trial.
Stay tuned men all will be revealed this evening.

FLYING TOMORROW WILL NOT BE AT OUR REGULAR FIELD.
ALL WILL BE EXPLAINED ON THE 'MEMBERS ONLY' FORUM.
PLEASE CHECK IT SHORTLY FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON WHERE TO GO!
GAZZ
Dont think I will be flying today, Its cold and miserable and its currently blowing over 30kph at Richmond (which is only 15 kms from here), I just checked Willy and it looks like we have a number of heavy line squalls just about to hit that have some pretty heavy rain in them. Not looking good at all. Will have to wait see whats happening tomorrow morning. Hopfully we can get in some Monday flying.
Gazz
Was looking out the back door, saw the tops of the trees blowing about in the rain & also thought today might be a write-off for flying. Monday has a slim chance now that we dont have to suffer a soggy runway.

It's a building, repairing, maintenance, and other shed related projects day.

Im heading up to the other site now, still a little overcast but the forecast and radar looks promissing, Fingers crossed eh!
Popped in for some flying at the other site. Great venue with plenty of open space and good to have a paved surface for geared aircraft. Stopped in at Hobbies in the Hills and accidently bought a Blade mcpx Heli. Have been wanting to delve into vetical flight and this micro heli looks to be a good way to start.
Dave is down at the other field is anybody would like to join him. Conditions are great
Hi All,
I will be going to the McCoy field at about 8-45am today.
Will advise via this thread if it is too wet to use - so if I don't post a thread by 9-30am assume I am down there flying.
Cheers

The McCoy field is a no go zone with 5 small lakes spread across each of the strips - I was a bit optimistic I suppose.

Anyhow I intend to watch the start of the Bathurst race and may come out to play later this morning.
So with the bloody weather being crap as usual what are our flight plans if any for the weekend, I can open up in the morning if needed but will only be there for an hour or two.
I am planning on flying Sunday, but once again that will be weather dependant.
If our field is still crap I will be heading out to Penrith Sunday, our other site is not an option because I want to maiden my Hotliner and I need grass for that!
Gazz
Well, I think tomorrow will be like today - overcast, no wind, and the odd spot once every other hour. I reckon tomorrow will be a flying day.
Enjoy all your flying guys...wherever....you go.....sniff....
BB, might have to fire up the McCoy field on Phoenix! Weather's always sunny there.
Willy is predicting very light winds and only 75% chance of a shower. Being the eternal optimist I'll try McCoy first. If the strip proves bad I'll then go to the other site.

Sunday is looking reeeal good.
Hi John,
Hope you get some good flying in tomorrow.
Can I ask that you keep comments about the name of possible alternate venues to the
member's only section.
thanks
Oops. Sorry Paul. Can the post be deleted.

John
I'm keen to try McCoy if I can get out of bed early enough to make it worthwhile. Gaz, I hope to see you there and see this hotliner that's been so long in the building.
I am not flying today guys but I can open up if anyone needs it.
Strip is in great shape. Thanks to Chris for hand mowing the strip and taxiway and then Darren who did a lot more with the ride on. Around 12 members there this morning. Flying was good with a small cross wind.

Tomorrow looks to be great.

John
Spewing that I couldn't make it out of bed Frown
Good weather considering the "average" forecast.
After an hour and a half of searching, I finally found the skyfun canopy. Not a pleasant experience.
Sorry, I shall NOT be flying tomorrow & will not be able to open!

Ingo
Flying this morning was really good but even better to get out in the sun with the blokes and have some chinwag time. I maidened a Hawk 80 that KB was kind enough to send my way. I finally assembled it after retiring the Reach Whirlwind.

Great Frank. It would have ticked you off no end if you hadn't. Probably why you stuck it out. Anything else in there? Suspect there might have been a few lipos, receivers, esc's, wings and the like - all in a desperate state.

Thanks Chris and Darren for the mowing effort. Flying was great today, with much better conditions than expected from reports earlier in the week. Only negative for me was having to head off early.

Indeed. Any chance one of the committee members will be opening up?
I'm planning on being there in the morning but maybe not before
9:30 or so.
If gate is still locked then I will open up.
