I have had a busy time of late and have been largely out of the country hence no flying time available. I have your parts, we tried to post them however A/Post got narky when we tried to post due to the thickness and didn't have any boxes in stock. Let me know what day you will be at the field this weekend and I will drop them off.

Yeah, I should be at the field on both days this weekend if the weather if good.
For Saturday I'm looking at being there at least between 10 and 11 if you need to get stuff from me.
At least the weather forecasts look good - no rain, light winds easing further on Sunday

I have just checked the weather forcast, Saturday 22km/h westerly in the morning and Sunday 7km/h westerly in the morning. That's made my decision easy - I'll be flying Sunday, although I may drop in on Saturday for a while.

I wont be flying this weekend as my Transmitter is away for warranty repairs.
I will be droping by the field this morning to pick up a few thinks from Kieran around 10am.

Yes Chris - it was alright earlier on, but now at a little after 0930 the breeze is well-and-truly up. Our crappy little J-3 wouldn't handle it well at all, so tomorrow it is.
The wind was a challenge for the breave few but quite exciting to fly in
. I tried my PT20 with 6S by serialling two 3S 2200 packs. It flew awesome with only a touch of throttle!! I measured the current draw and tach settings before take off and half throttle comfortably produced the same rpm as full throttle under 3S but at half the current.
. Unfortunately, full throttle (which is too tempting to use) drew 62A.
As you can imagine, a little earlier that I expected, the motor cut out and I had to bring it in for an emergency deadstick landing - perfectly I might say
. I was very stoked with the 6S performance but think that 4S will be quite adequate for this model. I was even more stoked that my emergency landing went very well, rolling in on wheels and there weren't big repairs to be done. The emegrency was later identified to be because of low voltage cutout by the speedy with one of the pack dropping to 11V and the other just a shade higher.
A great fun day but we cut it short as the wind was only growing stronger. The "one more flight" was abandoned before it tuenrd into a repair task

Yeah, I never have "one more flight" either. I always finish on my 2nd last flight.

Yes folks another fine weekend is upon us, and I cant wait because I haven't been able to fly for the last 2 weeks.
So break out the battery chargers and charge up those lipos.
I will be flying both Saturday and Sunday this weekend and will be down at the field both days between 8.30 and 9.00 to open up.
Finished my Fun Jet finally (thanks Darren for the loan of the Z pliers. How good are they!)

Pretty average weather out there right now and rain has been light and persistent all night, gonna be a soggy field for sure. Raining now however looking at the radar and the TAF it should be a bit better in a couple of hours. Tomorrow looking healthy for some dad related aviation though.
