I believe this is the council lock, there should be a number combination lock just on the outside of this pod, inside the pod connected to the bar. If you turn the bar over you should find it there.

Both combination locks have gone & the second gate is open
Strange, not sure what happened then.
Time to change the combination on all locks.
For the time being, possibly use the locks from the box and get some temporary locks for the box...
Who's flying this weekend ? weather should be good (apart from 'Frosty, then Sunny" - it might take a while to warm up ;-)

I plan to be out Saturday morning.

Cheers,

Dirk.

I'm still in New Zealand, I'll be out next weekend ??

When a thumbs up turns into a question mark haha
Is anyone heading out tomorrow? And if so what time?

Cheers,
James
I will be down tomorrow Wednesday at 9am James, could be a bit of wind.
I now have the first batch of MAAA cards, I'll have them with me at the Pittown pylon race this Saturday.

ahh okay cool, I might be down. Just getting over a head cold. See how I feel in the morning. I have some questions for you, bought myself an ARF Yak 54 3D off hobbyking and need to kit it out Smile Paid $62 on sale https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbyking-ya...m-arf.html
Looks good.

Maybe the following-

https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-nano...-pack.html
https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-ae-4...s-esc.html
https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-aero...motor.html

You could go with the longer 42 motor with a lower kv.
Anyone want to recommend a 12g servo?

srl
I put my HXT900 in the gap and they fit perfect. They are only 9g though.
I think those DMG servos would be better

https://hobbyking.com/en_us/d-mg16-digit...18-8g.html

But if you want really nice ones then Hitech make some ones

https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hitec-hs-65m...c-12g.html

Cloudio had hitech servos in the sky wing edge 540 which is similar and I had one with DMGs and I allways noticed that Claudio's one flew better everything was the same except the servos

I often wished after flying his ones. I'd gone for the better servos. I must say tho I still enjoyed the way mine flew and got lots of use from it..!!!!
I think I'll have to give this morning a miss, still quite sick. I'll be there Sat Smile
Hi guys. Down the field this morning and found some broken glass in front of the outer gate I think I’ve cleaned most of it up but anybody going down please be careful.

Also not sure if it’s wishful thinking?, But the field looked a little bit drier than last time I seen it mind that was a while ago.
I'll be down at the field tomorrow at 8:30am. Going to Maiden the Yak Smile
good luck, if I reach on time I'll pass by to have a look !
Wind permitting, I plan to be there Sunday morning.
How did it go James?
Looks like a bit of wind tomorrow like today. I still had a fly but it was a bit of a challenge. Good thing is that the water is quickly drying up.

Took off, the prop was making a really weird noise, which it didn't make on the ground. So it was one circuit and brought it in to land and on the landing ripped the landing gear out..... so yeah 30 second flight haha otherwise it was fine for CG, but when I tested the motor on the ground, it was fine. So not sure whether the slow flyer prop was making a weird noise with it cutting through the air. Will have to bring it down next weekend and see how we go. I used heaps of clue cause I smashed the balsa wood lol

Check the solder on the connectors from the ESC to the motor
Maybe prop flutter. I'm about to do a order I'll get more of these - https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-ultr...6-1pc.html
Its what I use.

Im off down to the field today
Batteries are charging now ??
Sunny & low wind conditions, Saturday should be good !
Yep... looking forward to it.
I had some questions on Saturday about the Tempest I was flying.

I have attached a link to it AUS$209. I said it was RTF but it is actually PNP and comes with a Transmitter and receiver.

And the Typhoon by FMS I was talking about is below.

This is $310 and 1100mm (Tempest is 1250mm)

What questions did you have Andrew?

Yes, I didn't write that very well. People were asking me questions regarding where to get it how much etc.

Cool very nice looking machine. How did it fly ?
Saturday is looking good ! Sunday forecast is a bit windy.
I might pass by Sat early morning for quick round, keen to try the bigger wheel set mounted on my bi-plane. I hope that will manage the grass area better.

Out for Sunday.

Cheers,

Dirk.
Just got back from flying, Pete has got the level areas of the strip perfect. He cut it all by himself.
Will be down by 11am. I have Barry's card.
