I want to see that! That is one very nice plane. Wouldn't that be a bit too hot for the local field? Knowing you Gazz, you would have pepped it up to the 32 size motors from the standard 25s. Retracts?? Parachute brakes?
Hi All,
As the usual gate-keepers (Gary & Ingo) don't intend on being at the field tomorrow I will be opening up the gates at around 8-30am or so.
Hope the wind is kind to all of us tomorrow.

Happy flying.
Chris M
Planning on going to the field tomorrow AM. Not sure about Sunday yet.

Have a good day guys, I'll be stuck surrounded by kits I can't fly nor afford Lol

I'll be down the following week though. I think.
I'm still transmitterless (I should ring the repairers soon to see how it's going). I'll be doing chores at home instead. Have fun guys. Hope to get down to the field in a weekend or two if I get my Radio back by then.

Its not a nice plane Dave... Its a bloody magnificent plane.
I dont think its to big for our field at all, all data says its an excellent slow flyer for a big plane.
Yes Dave... its got Power 32's running twin 4S 3300 Nanos... come on mate you know me as if I would put standard engines in it
Its got Robart retracts but sorry ... no parachute
Hi all planning to mow sometime this morning
Not much flying likely today - it would blow a dog off a chain out here Frown

Edit: I can see a few brave souls from an upstairs window though. Good luck gentlemen!
thanks Steve. We didn't need luck today....just a helicopter!! Smile Smile
Touché Andrew - I deserved that one Smile
Whats the weather been like in sydney this week?ive been in canberra all week.strip likely to be dry gents?633 squadron is awaiting clearance for take-off!

Clearance granted Simon
The field was given a short back and sides yesterday and is pristine.
The weather however is suseptable to the bloody wims of the mother nature and she hasn't been very accomadating of late .
So this weekends weather forcast means look out the window and hedge your bets on the conditions at the field.....
Doesn't look promising.... hope to get some badly needed flight time.
.... We will all watch the sky!
Great job Guy's with The Field., Thankyou for your effort and Time
Was Down This Morning Ironing out The Kinks In the New Stryker before work.

Hoping the weather changes by Tommorow as it only light Drizzle and should be ok as long as it stops for flying Tommorow.

Steve Smile
thanks for the update Gaz!
And I still don't have a Transmitter and am still grounded. Wife is happy though as we're putting our house on the market and have extra time to tidy it up. Phoned OMP in SA today, where my DX7 is being serviced. They're waiting for technical advice/software from their supplier to get it fixed. A Tech is ringing me back Monday with an update. Waiting, waiting, waiting .....
Sorry to hear that John.
At least the weather has not been great and you haven't missed too much.
So the Weather doesn't look good, what brave soul is going ?

The Sprinkle is so light it would be nice if it just Stopped, so keen to Fly today.

SteveSmile

Mother nature is up to her old tricks.
I wont be coming down unless some crazy person would like me to open up for them?
Looks like another build day....:-(
I'm out today anyway (kids' sport). Will check conditions tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
The Weather seems to be settling down and it hasn't been sprinkling for a while now and it's a bit clearer in the Sky.

I may head down if the weather stays like it is in an hour.
Gazz its cool ill walk in, save you Trip for the crazy man.

Just got back from a walk around the field - surprisingly, except for some patches at the far western end of the main strip there's no water on the runways!
KevB was there with his Kinetic and the flying conditions were good, no wind to speak of.
The only potential problem is the ramp looks pretty slippery and I don't know whether most cars would find it difficult to climb.
Owen and I are going to park up outside and walk in with a couple of planes and get some flying in - the batteries need running down anyway.
With the weather being very average this morning I chose not to venture down to the field but I had a quick fly this arvo around 1-30pm for an hour or so.
No wind to speak off and patches of blue sky with sunlight breaking thru - just great.
Thanks to the precision mowing team, you guys did a great job on the strip I had to maiden my Parkzone BF109F, which I did. It flew nicely and I had a 4 min flight then landed OK (retracts worked great).
Can not make it down tomorrow morning but if the weather holds up I will try for an hour in the arvo again.

Happy Flying

Chris M
Great news Chris - let's have a Maiden Flight report then so that we can get the inside story!
... and I suggest we put everything on hold, as it's just resumed raining Frown
I think I'll give it a miss AGAIN........Frown
Everything pretty damp around here.
Light drizzle that is persistant and looks like it's going to stay
that way for awhile.
Hey Chris if you do go down this afternoon post before you go.
What time you thinking?
I will join you if the weather improves but for now its back to the building table.
Hey Gazz,
If I go down it will be around 2 to 2-30pm.
I will post if I go but that won't be until 1-00pm.
Cheers
