Here's a trip down memory lane for those of you who are old enough!

It estimates that the catalogue was dated mid-1960's but I can remember spending hours reading and re-reading this during the early 1970's. I always wanted the Kittyhawk, but never actually got one. A couple of my mates had a few of them - the Kittyhawk, Spitfire, Warhawk and Taipan.

I love the way the word "scale" keeps popping up Wink

Enjoy ...

Have you seen this great RC model of the
"Galloping Ghost" P51 that is modelled after that late great
display machine which met a sad demise at Reno Last Year?

It has just been confirmed that there has been NO RAIN at the indoor Netball court Lidcombe, so the Indoor flying will go ahead this Saturday 11th Feb at 7pm, cost $10.

Location: The venue is at the Netball court at the Anna Clarke Centre, Church St. Lidcombe (NW end), next to Lidcombe Oval.

Google maps search:
Netball NSW, Church Street, Lidcombe, New South Wales

If u are heading south along Olympic Drive (a continuation of Silverwater Rd) turn right into Church St just before the railway bridge.

Nswpylon.org are organizing a few electric only races this year the first in March.
Anyone interested in forming a club team?

The Rare bear is more suited to the larger fields. Not really any mods to go fast just APC 5x5.

Hi everyone,

I've got my eye on the 1400mm FMS Stuka, and wondered what experiences people had getting FMS models into Australia.

Any places to recommend or avoid?

Thanks.

Time: approximatly 1218 hours
Location: McCoy Park aerodrome

Incident Details:
2 T-28 Trojans were involved in a mid air collision resulting in a near fatal crash of one of the planes, whilst the other managed to limp around and make an emergency landing, suffering damage to the leading edge of the left wing.

After the crashed aircraft was recovered and the pilot rescued from his shatterd cockpit, the black-box data was downloaded for analysis.

Preliminary findings seem to indicate both planes were attemting to occupy the same bit of air at the same time resulting in the collision. The black box data is being release to the public for comments.

First sighting of the on-comming plane

Very High closing speed means that neither pilot had a chance to react

About this time the pilot realised he was in real trouble

The moment just before impact

Finally, Impact.

Here is the complete video of the collision including the crash...

Good news!
Orange RX have finally been added to the approval list of MOP058.

Members should note that the 6ch versions are of extremely limited range even when used with a satellite. (Which we have demonstrated at our field a few times) and take this into serious consideration when using them in larger and faster planes.

I have one of the new 7ch varients to test in my trainer, fingers crossed, the price is right!

I thought this might interest some in regards to wing loadings, cog etc as i noticed some members talk wing loadings etc this may help some understand whats it all about i know a little and should learn more, but i guess as long as i have high power setups it will fly what ever it is Leet

Ps i know roughly 23ounces/square foot wing loading is a good all round setup, i actually have somewhere a table that makes it easy to work out your setup.
