I have seen a few of these and some of the set-ups and pilots have produced some fantastic videos. Might be the genesis of a new project for me. It is more about the video than the machine.

Well we all know how great the Blade MCPx is but here comes it's clone!

I'd put top dollar on it being made by the same OEM as the MCPx.

This is the one I'm really looking out for though:

if the price is right, it could be the perfect beginners/training chopper. Note the shaft driven tail!

Here's a nice build project: http://rabbit-hole.org/

Is this the ultimate extension of the FPV finding a "useful" implementation?

Boy, this would be a great scale fuse for the Logo. It is one big fuse when you see how small the Logo frame is when mounted inside (..and the Logo ain't small). It adds slightly over 1kg (3.9kg becomes 5.0kg AUW) and measures 500mm from the skids to the top of the main shaft. Hi res images on the link

Video below to prove you can still fly it like you stole it.

According to me it is currently 11:17pm. The site seems to be as keen as I am to jump into daylight savings!!!

Hi All,
With all the wet weather and non flying weekends combined with lots of weekend shifts for me means lots of time not flying and after the mediocre sucess of my Luton Minor, I decided it was time to take the lessons learned from that build and start another wet weather project.

This time I'm building a Morane Saulnier A1 from a free set of plans I got from Flying Scale Models magazine a while ago.

Lots or really intricate shapes to cut out from balsa. Clearly this plan has been designed for a laser cutter or cnc machine and not hand cutting, but not having access to either, I've resorted to my trusty (rusty??) exacto knife...

Fuse is constructed in two separate halves, bottom, and top, which once completed are glued together to form the completed fuse. By far the longest process has been cutting out the pieces. They are very fiddley with lots of tabs. Once all the pieces are ready, the fuse halfs go together pretty quickly. Pictures attached of the bottom half of the fuse being constructed as well as completed top half.

I do have a question. The plans state that "Basswood" is used for the struts of the plane. I'm not sure but I think that it must be some kind of hardwood. Does anyone know where I might be able to get some 1/8" (3mm) square Bassword or some kind of Equivalent?

More to follow

Mick

Gday guys, I was hoping to get some advice on the purchase of a new set of radio gear. I have currently a set of sanwa and jr am sets which I have had for years. I am reluctant to use them again due to interference recently where I lost my first rough brushless test trainer into the earth. (It was flying so well) I wish to use it in basic petrol and electric planes up to six channels max. Despite having read so much on pros and cons on the new 2.4ghz systems I can't decide which way to go. I haven't been around a flying field for the last 15 years so I haven't got the word. I'm keen to get my new electic Funcub safely into the air!
I have been on the Tower site and are currently tossing up between FM and 2.4gh Hitec and Futaba gear.
Could anyone enlighten me whats the general go in this century, and which radio might be suit my needs?
I'll also try to get down to the field and have a chat, I was sure surprised to see one exists in suburbia. Regards Andrew.

Has anyone built this plane? I was trying to attach the alierons using the "gemels". Cutting/ Splitting the foam to insert them is not that easy I find. Just wondering if there is a better way to do this. I was thinking may be I can just stick a tape across. I have a white masking tape but I think it may be a bit stiff. Any advice welcome!
