Hi Everyone,
I'm very seriously considering buying a Blade mCPx with the money I got for my birthday. I was wondering if anyone knows the best place to get one and about how much they are going for? I'd be looking at a BNF version and maybe some extra batteries as well

Thanks
Mick

Mike Close reckons that the new SRCS field is worth driving to. I'm thinking about heading out there for a look-see and a fly ...

Guys I need some advice, when I was just setting up my funcub with new Futaba T6ex radio gear I came to putting in the 4 x Hitec HS-55 Feather servos into the wings one at a time without wire extensions or anything, a couple of them worked but chattered and buzzed a bit to the point I was concerned. One now doesn't work, the others seem like if I work them they slow up so I've stopped testing. I've got the next size Hitec servos fitted up for rud/elev and they are working no dramas. I've also run some of my old JR servos and they work well with no buzzing etc. I'm using a 6 volt receiving pack supplied just to set it up. On the side of the servo box it says between 4.8 - 6 volt operation. I can't see that its been hooked up wrong. Any help on this topic would be great. thanks Andrew.

I'm in advanced middle age and most of my planes are on the slow side. I'm the 3D guy among my park-flying pals. My planes just loiter around in the air. My fastest planes are my Formosas and (amazingly) my EasyStar. I'd guess these planes do sixty or so on a good day.So I got this notion to build me a rc aiplane, which appears to be about the same as the Aeroworks

version. I love the looks of this thing. I want to try my hand at a seriously fast plane. It's gonna have much higher wing loading than anything I've flown

so far, and that could be a problem. When I was new to the hobby, I used to stall out my planes all over the place.

The plane is a pusher prop configuration, with smallish wheels. It's got a tricycle gear configuration with steerable nose wheel. Hand launching is out of the question.

So... words of advice? Other than, keep it moving, smartly?

Hi guys,
Don't want to spoil anyones fun but feel I need to
remind everyone of the flight line etiquette of calling out ones
intentions when flying.
I noticed today that the line was very quiet and we ended up with
a mid-air and a very near miss on the runway.
Whenever there are more than 1 plane flying it is up to the pilots to
agree on direction of travel etc( ie. right or left circuits)
3D flying should not be done over the runway whenever other planes are
doing circuits. This can lead to the dangerous situation of aircraft
flying in opposite directions with the obvious potential for collision.
Our hobby costs us enough without incurring needless expense. Smile
Lets all show consideration for others by trying to avoid such incidents.
If anyone is unsure of the etiquette, just ask one of the committee to
explain.
End of rant.......sorry Smile

Hey guys,
It is time for me to replace some of my lipos and finally buy a new charger. I already decided on picking up one of the ichargers but have no idea which packs to get. I am looking for 3s packs with anywhere from 2200 to maybe 3000mAh. Since, these packs will be used mainly in sport/3d applications a high discharge rate of around 25-30C is highly desired. I would also like to charge the packs at 5C. The thunder power packs I am looking at are all rated at 5C, but the gens ace packs don't seem to mention a charge rating.
So, can the gens ace packs be considered equivalent to their thunder power counterparts?
The pricing of the gens ace packs are quite attractive but ever since losing a plane on its maiden flight several years ago due to a cheap chinese lipo exploding in-flight, I am extra cautious when it comes to using cheaper packs.

I am interested in hearing what you guys think about these packs.
