I felt The Lcd Needed to be further away from your eyes to get a comfortable overall view of screen and the adjustment was not enough to do this.

Simple cut foam board filler to make up the extra width and painted black.

Today while searching for the motor for my Grasshopper, my son found a Trojan canopy in tact. Pilot was excited to finally be rescued.

So if you are missing a canopy. please contact me or see me down at the field next weekend....

PS. This will only fit a Trojan, if you're missing one off of another model ie F/A 18 or a Rare Bear, do not BiggrinBiggrinBiggrin

Hi guys. I’m looking for a male to male extension servo lead 15 cm lengths, I had a crash in my quad on Saturday and well as destroying the receiver it also cut through one of my leads I’ve ordered some from eBay that there had lease 2/ 3 weeks away so if anybody could help I would certainly appreciate it.

I am selling 2 packages I bought, bundled together.

1.Quanum Venture FPV Deluxe Quad Copter Set w/ DJI FatShark & Afro Parts (PNF)

2. FatShark Dominator v2 Video Goggles plus Video TX module

FatShark FPV Transmitter

Both packages are 100% complete, with boxes, and in immaculate condition. The Goggles have never been used. Box has only been opened to inspect contents and take photo. The Drone has been removed from packaging and assembled, but hasn't been flown yet. Still needs to have the FC calibrated and propellers need to be balanced before first flight. Drone has DJI NazaGPS Flight module, and will beam back video to your video goggles.

You will need to use your own Transmitter, Reciever and battery to make it complete, which I'm sure you guys already have.

I bought these last year for a total of $1179.

Drone cost $600 from hobbyking. Goggles cost $499 from Mongrel gear.

Video Transmitter cost me $79 from Mongrel Gear.

I am willing to sell it all for $600. Massive bargain. I need to sell ASAP to fund my upcoming purchase of a 3D printer.

Gday All

For sale is a beautiful T-Rex 600 ESP Special edition heli wrapped in a Heliartist Airwolf body.
I do not have the skills to do her justice and would much prefer she went to someone who can really fly.
Receiver is a Spectrum with satellite, cannot recall what model however 99% sure it is an 8 channel. All swash servos are original digital Aligns, voltage regulator is also the original Align as is the ESC. Note the landing gear retract servo is a coreless Turnigy 959.

I am asking $700.

Also included is;
Original T-rex canopy.
Original T-rex skids
Spare main blades -unopened
Spare tail blades - unopened
Original batteries, suggest a thorough check before using, you may prefer to replace with new ones.

A note on the landing retracts, the original design sucks and does not work reliably, it runs off the 959 however the links to the main gear really need a small digital servo for each of them to be reliable. The retracts will need a bit of work.
There is also some minor hangar rash, small chip out of the tail fin where the tail skid attaches and also side fins on the tail boom need replacing as my cat used them for a nice scratch. All simple fixes.

The heli was originally built by ex club member Gazza Grant, when he built something it was built to perfection, this heli is no exception to the Gazza rule and I have had zero issues. Overall flight time for airframe is very very low, it has likely spent under an hour all up in the air.

I have encountered a problem with the linkage stopper supplied with my HK Sbach 342 EPP 3D 900 mm airplane.
Linkage stopper is the term HK uses for the metal piece used to adjust a linkage by tightening a screw, as shown in attached photo (this is not the Sbach, just a photo I had that shows what is meant). The stopper in the Sbach is attached to each aileron servo arm with a threaded rod nut; the problem is the nuts vibrate and come off. If you tighten them on movement of the aileron they cause the pushrod to deform, and bend the servo arm and horn .

I have decided to remove the stoppers and use a z-bend at each end of the pushrod, with the z-bends orientated at 90 degrees to each other. I am using music wire K+S 0.047, which I get from Frontline Hobbies Newcastle where it is stock item KSE-0502. The advantage is that there is nothing to become loose. A disadvantage is that if you get the pushrod length wrong you have to start again and make another - however with a standard z-bender this is quick and easy, and the wire is cheap and comes in 36" lengths. I was able to use both pushrods in my first attempt.

In the tail the Sbach has short pushrods for both the servo arm and elevator horn, that both go into a length of heatshrink tube, then adjust neutral position, shrink, then add cyano. This seems to be working OK so far.

I would be interested to know if anyone defends the stoppers, or uses the above method or other methods.

FAA require aircraft operators greater than 250g to register with FAA. CASA may follow FAA, and I have already seen noise about this in the media. This would apply to most of us plane or quads. Look at this article for some science on assessment of the risks.
