I switched to a 3 blade prop on my Zeta Phantom flying wing (aka FX 61) and there is a major reduction in noise - it is no longer the loudest plane in the park. It has a Turnigy 3536/8 1000 Kv motor running on 3S packs, and previously used a 2-blade 10x45 prop; now it has a Hobbyking 3-blade 9x45, and also works well with a 3-blade 8x6. The 9x45 gives a little more power. The Hobbyking 3-blade 9x45 costs $2.71 for 2, which seems good value; one is CW, the other CCW, but both props work fine when installed the correct way. I have not tried to balance the props and there seems no need.

I did not expect such a big noise reduction, have others had this experience?

Price is firm

Both planes have motors and ESCs

Im pretty sure they both have soectrum compatible recievers as well

The float plane needs a smaller prop or a bigger ESC as its drawing a litttle too much current but both shoild be plug and fly

the bilane has had a couple of minor repairs but they are well done and it did fly nicely

G'Day members and visitors, while I was at Ultimate Hobbies earlier I found these.

Here you can see the brilliant new club flyers that are on display and available to take at Ultimate Hobbies. An excellent job done by Fawas and team.

Sorry Chris for having a new thread, but I think this deserves it. If not, let me know and I'll post it elsewhere..

Regards Todd

Whats people experience with how to treat new batteries?
I know to charge at less than 1c for a few charges but how much less and how many should I do, should I increase each charge and build up to 1c?
What about discharge, should that be gentle and build up to a faster discharge or go hard as I want max performance from these turnigy blue 2200 3s.

Hello guys,
Long story short, yes, I have been playing Pokemon. Just to see what all the fuss was about, and because my partners daughter is playing it as well.

Without going into great detail on how it all works, they access google maps and images and have what they call Pokestops. You can get free things from these Pokestops, as well as more Pokemon that hang around these stops.

It just so happens that McCoy Park is a Pokestop. Not bad for some free advertisement, even if it is Pokemon. So, if you see some random kids, or wayward adults, they may be searching for Pokemon.
