Just came across this from another forum which may be useful to us in future..
http://earth.nullschool.net/
You can track the current system that is causing this Winter Wonderland. The near real time data and the amount of data that it processes is staggering! It does not yet zoom in to the level we need as rc pilots.
I'm down sizing my workshop so have decided to sell.
I have an AL-320G lathe brought from Hare and Forbes about 5 years ago but have never turned it on. It sits on a wooded stand I built for it.

I'm keen to sell it so was looking at accepting less than half price.
Cheers
Kevin
I cant seem to find the email for membership renewal. Can anyone please send me the link? Much Appreciated..
Hi all, just want to introduce myself and let people know my stituation. So im a newbie when it comes to the world of rc helis and im looking to become experienced and meet others in this hobby to learn everything there is to know. Im looking to purchase a sab goblin soon just wondering if theres anyone out there that can advise me. Looking to come and visit the field some also.
Cheers richard
Arrived 1.00am, up at 5.00. On bus at Kakadu after river cruise. Cant work out how to add photos on my phone.
Anyone been to this before, its a 3 day event, this weekend.

Has it been a good event in the past, ie number, variety and size of models??
I just got my self a kit for one of these gizmos, It's taken a while but I finished it the other day and it seems to work nicely
I've been a CAD user at work for quite some time so I thought it might be fun to have a machine that can make some bits and pieces
Here's a look at a CAD model for a Rocket airframe I drew up a while back.
Smuzz Kindly gave me a few rocket engines last year and I thought I'd better build an airframe to try some of them out.
Here's the first attempt Hopefully it will fly OK

I think there are strong parallels between that video and the world of RC flight

For me personally, every major flying milestone so far has been a repeat of that same "I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't... oh wait, now I can" experience. Sometimes the transition to "I can" happened when I was demoralized and least expecting it.
Has anyone else experienced that same feeling?
I guys. I’ve just updated my real flight from 5.0 to 7.5, and it is brilliant it has FPV and flying with it is fantastic how ever
the FPV will only work on the graphic feels not the ones with photograph but that’s only a very minor problem, also doesn’t have GPS, of been able to fly quad copters and fix wing and with this weather the way it is it is the only flying available.
Kind regards, Bob.
Hey guys,
Is anyone here able to straighten a prop shaft? I have a 6mm prop shaft which is specific to a particular motor/plane combo and it's really difficult to source a replacement - I'd have to buy a whole new motor and it'll take a long time to ship.
The shaft itself is only slightly bent near the end, but I don't have a drill press, lathe, dial indicator or anything like that.
The shaft is 6mm, the top half is threaded. It's 45mm long in total, and the base, with the screw holes to attach to the motor, is 6mm thick. Aluminium. I could probably do this with a vice, a rubber mallet and a couple of pieces of wood (sounds like McGyver?) but if someone has access to a machine shop I'd sure appreciate it if it could be looked at.
Thanks in advance!
