I won't be flying either on Sunday. Got plenty of building to do and I don't much care to walk into the field while it's so wet. Hope next weekend is the start of some regular flying again.

If it's any consolation Darren and I where intending to head to Blacktown this morning for his Habu and my F86 maiden flights. Unfortunately, upon inspection last night he found that the strip was soa...

You can see plenty of the jets at Temora in September. I loved that ME109 but. Would be great to have something like that but wonder how compact it folds down to.

Still a bit too early to say what's happening on the weekend. Pretty safe bet that if the field is in good enough condition and weather is fine there will be a few of us around. Watch this space on Fr...

Had exactly the same problem with my little hobby king Extra 300 last week Gaz. I went the balsa road to make mine. Found it so much easier than using foam which I have used before too. Get yourself a...

Now that's a better choice to start with. You may also consired the Parkzone T28. We have had lots of them here and everyone has commented on how good a beginners plane it is.

Just remember that you will need a car to transport you around with your gear and you will probably use it to charge your batteries too :) We all also have the Mrs problems :)

DX8 (Spektrum 8ch) is a good radio if you can afford it. You will probably only need 4 channels at first but the radio will serve you well as you progress. Don't rush out yet and buy a plane until you...

Welcome to the forum. Yes rain has been a consistant problem all year with us. If you have not flown before I suggest that you get down to our field next time we are flying and introduce yourself. Pl...

I second Jason's comments. Would not recommend as a first plane as it will be a handful to fly. With all functions enabled you will need 8 channel radio. Plus a 6 cell battery. I see that they are off...

Here is some video of Kev's Sebart Sbach maiden flight. On later flights he started to really throw the thing around the sky. http://youtu.be/tNJz0a_jT8A

Have you seen this great RC model of the "Galloping Ghost" P51 that is modelled after that late great display machine which met a sad demise at Reno Last Year? This model is IC powered but boy what...

Hey Kev that last photo is reverse image. Notice the decals look like they are back to front.

Agree with Steve, not a good idea to fly there. The close proximity of some of the houses especially the ones to your right of where you were standing is a worry. If anything goes wrong and you hit on...

Thanks folks for your comments. I'm fully aware that accidents can/will happen just wanted to highlight that co-operation and calling are very important at all times on the flight line. Nice to see t...

Andrew, would it possibly be a power problem with the retracts? When flying all servos are drawing power from the battery but when stationary only the retracts are drawing the power. Just a thought.

I would take her off your hands Arron, but I already have one and I think they would be too similar. :) Have you thought of spliting her up and maybe selling for spare parts?? :)

Yep agree with Steve. Daniel. You looked like you were coming in too hot. Back off the throttle just before final turn to the runway. With that model you don't need the flaps but if you want to use th...

Guys, Darren has already stated that he will mow on Saturday if the ground is firm enough for the ride on. Don't want to see anyone being sick while mowing with a push mower in 37 degree heat.

Yea I used that on all my foamies prior to fibreglassing or repainting. Will not harm Parkzone, ST Model, Eflite or Phase3 models. Can't say if any others but I think it should be OK.

Thanks for posting that video link. Pat watched it and promptly told me that we must get one to take on our cruise next year. ..........:) Ask me if I'm happy..
