Hi Gaz Here is some photos of my installation. First off we epoxied in 10 x 5mm Basswood Rails. In order to get a nice snug fit around the Stumax housing we found that it was necessary to add an e...

Thanks Jason, Do you buy direct from them? or do they have retailers close by?

Called into McCoy this afternoon to see for myself what condition was like. I hate to say this but it was terrible. Hardly recognised the place. Here are some shots taken on my phone camera. This is...

Just thought I'd show all of you who slept through this morning's eclipse what you missed. The moon played hide and seek with the clouds during the eclipse but luck was with me and I managed to get...

are you kidding . i walked out at 12.30 am and the cloud cover blanketed the whole sky !!! so i went to bed . That photo was shot around 2am

No by 2:30am latest, moon was hidden behind a huge cloud and I decided to go to bed. I had actually been toying with the idea of setting up my 8" SCT Telescope earlier in the day and decided to give ...

Thanks for posting that video link. Pat watched it and promptly told me that we must get one to take on our cruise next year. ..........:) Ask me if I'm happy..

Yea I used that on all my foamies prior to fibreglassing or repainting. Will not harm Parkzone, ST Model, Eflite or Phase3 models. Can't say if any others but I think it should be OK.

Hi Chris. Just brush it on. I even brush it on when I'm applying it as a finishing coat. It drys clear so no worries about brush marks.

Gary I have Kev's smaller Sebart SBach here at home to assemble for him.I like the look of them. However I must agree with previous posters on here, beware the HK balsa models. They are a bit on the s...

Kev I could not get that link to work correctly. Did you send it via your phone?

What you just experienced was what was happening to our F16,F14 and vector, not enough airspeed to provide the control surfaces some authority. The use of the bungee showed this to be correct. Darren,...

Husni, Unfortunately you have picked a bad time to want to come down. Due to recent bad weather our field is practicaly unusable. Those members that you see posting on here about going down for a fly...

I'll do a sun dance to the gods tonight and see if I can get them to change our weather. If that fails I'll do the honourable thing and perform Hari-Kari. (Bet the previous Prezz never offered to do t...

Hi Husni, Weekends are our normal regular flying days where we start around 8:30am on the Saturday and 9am on the Sunday. Mid week is not structured like that and members usually wait to see what the ...

Silkspan looks a lot like tissue but stronger. Hobbies in the Hills were selling it at around $4 per Sheet. Comes in various weights.

Guys, Darren has already stated that he will mow on Saturday if the ground is firm enough for the ride on. Don't want to see anyone being sick while mowing with a push mower in 37 degree heat.

Yep agree with Steve. Daniel. You looked like you were coming in too hot. Back off the throttle just before final turn to the runway. With that model you don't need the flaps but if you want to use th...

Great work Chris thank you. Same to all you guys who have given up you time to help out with mowing etc.

Andrew, would it possibly be a power problem with the retracts? When flying all servos are drawing power from the battery but when stationary only the retracts are drawing the power. Just a thought.

Hi Daniel Thanks for your offer to buy a shirt. Once you have completed the normal formalities of becoming a club member (Not a forum member) a shirt should be available for sale. We are hoping that ...

I've used Philip at pw-rc.com a number of times. He has very reasonable freight prices and his service is excellent. I've ordered stuff from him on a weekend and had it delivered by following weekend....

we can probably expect the bikers back sometime this week then. Conditions are just about perfect for them :( If it's any consolation, Brisbane not much better since I arrived yesterday.

Thanks folks for your comments. I'm fully aware that accidents can/will happen just wanted to highlight that co-operation and calling are very important at all times on the flight line. Nice to see t...

Nice looking plane Gaz. Look forward to seeing it fly

Agree with Steve, not a good idea to fly there. The close proximity of some of the houses especially the ones to your right of where you were standing is a worry. If anything goes wrong and you hit on...

Hey Kev that last photo is reverse image. Notice the decals look like they are back to front.

11:30pm tonight and guess what??????????? It's pouring............:( These last 9 months have got to be the wettest on record. I think we can forget about our field again this weekend.

I second Jason's comments. Would not recommend as a first plane as it will be a handful to fly. With all functions enabled you will need 8 channel radio. Plus a 6 cell battery. I see that they are off...

Welcome to the forum. Yes rain has been a consistant problem all year with us. If you have not flown before I suggest that you get down to our field next time we are flying and introduce yourself. Pl...

DX8 (Spektrum 8ch) is a good radio if you can afford it. You will probably only need 4 channels at first but the radio will serve you well as you progress. Don't rush out yet and buy a plane until you...
