To my understanding, lipo's should not create gas pressure, they are sealed, unlike some lead acid batteries, that do gas as they charge. If a lipo vents gas when it's charging.... that's what the amm...

Most ESC's (well everyone I have encountered) have an onboard BEC. But, this is ususally limited to 1 to 3 amps, depending on the size and application of the ESC. Your average 35A ESC is good for 4 HS...
