I vaguely recall RC planes, we used to do it some time in the past. Hopefully some calm sunny skies sometime soon.

Looking outside this morning, sunny and calm, but I guess it's safe to assume the field would be a swamp at the moment with all the rain we've had over the past few days. Forecast still says 80% chanc...

Hot, the next few days, then showers increasing Friday and into the weekend. Wait and see I guess.

Definately wont be any hope of finding my $250 Pebble watch which I lost in the reeds while looking for my crashed Stinger EDF. (Lost 2 weeks ago before the big wet).

Might see you today then Steve. Just having coffee/breakfast, then I'll head down to the field - there around 10. Re: DX7 - I remember you telling me about the difference between US & EU (European) ...

I piked out of going this morning when I saw the wind picking up & the weather gloomy. I'm off this week & next so I might go tomorrow as the forecast looks better. I've been setting up my new DX9 Ra...

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you have a joyful time with family & friends And many winged presents.

Just arrived. Has only been drizzling so ok to drive in I think. It is a bit windy & gloomy, so I'll see how I go.
2,847,544
Plus it was meant to be fairly windy today. Tomorrow is hot again but fairly light winds. Am about to sneak in the possibility of my going again tomorrow (with the wife).
2,847,544
I'm sure it was a nice plane. But what about some sympathy for the poor innocent Helicopter that was just minding its own business when it got run into by some passing plane that wasn't looking wher...

Yeah, probably walk in... Just kidding, had a job at Mittagong today, had a bit of a play in the snow.
1,359,803
Couldn't make it this morning and big winds and frezzey cold tomorrow!
2,847,544
Spot the plane... Marco flying a bit too close to the wires. Hit one cable, bounced onto a second, then perched on the bottom twin cables by its wings. A few seconds after this photo, a gust of wind ...

Hi Richard, there are around 6 Heli Pilots in our club that I can think of, plus a couple that haven't been down to the field in a while. Most members are fixed wing Pilots but we do have a Heli pract...

Down at the field for a few flights today. Have taken an RDO on my Birthday! Grass hasn't grown much. Still reasonably short and field is fairly dry. Just the usual damp patches on the runway. Might ...

Welcome back Craig. I should be able to make it on the 20th. At that sort of workload, hopefully you made sh&%loads of money (to spend on more planes).
2,847,544
For a second then I thought you were going to say that you were going to take a spade to the Bikers heads! Oops, did I say that or was I thinking aloud?! Just joking of course. Typical though, A regul...

I'm definately not going to try changing from Mode 1 to Mode 2 after that video. Learning to fly RC Helis has made me realize how much dedication and practice is required to master some difficult thin...

Ah well. Shouldn't take too long to simulate repairs.
2,847,544
And here's me looking at the weather forecast for tomorrow, thinking it's not too bad for flying. I don't suppose the field has been mown either! Amazing photos guys. Also never seen it that deep befo...

Top day for flying. Barely any wind, even when I left around midday. A few other members turned up as well and even a visitor.

Heading down to the field this morning for a few hours flying. 9:15 to 12:15.

Heading to the field now. There around 9am.

Sorry Guys, I forgot to warn you that I've just started 2 weeks leave, so the weather is therefore bound to be wet for at least that period of time. Every time, for the last few holidays I've taken, i...

Mick, I've got a couple of excellent setup guides for Flybarred Helis. I'll bring them down for you to borrow (indefinately - I've got PDF copies, so can reprint). Good rundown on all the theory. Star...

Maybe we can ask council to advise these contractors not to drive on the obviously mown runways. I can understand that not everyone is aware of our use of the field or see our signs, but I assume thes...

And I've got the following week off. Typical - it seems every time I take a week off, it rains all week! Have hardly been down to the field over the last month or 2.

Only took 1.5hr to go through 6 Batteries. Had one Stinger battery left but tore the wingtip off on the 1st flight ~ a bit of CA when I get home will fix that. One flight on the Big Rear Bear with the...

Weather is still good, with little wind. So I'm heading down in a few minutes for a late afternoon fly, if anyone else is interested.
2,847,544
I'll be heading to the field soon. Will open the gate at around 10am for a couple of hours. Mainly some Heli flying for me, given the sogginess of the field. [hr] Actually, Just leaving now, so clos...

Blindfolded - just use the Force... OK for Luke Skywalker I guess, & maybe Andre... I'm definitely keeping my eyes open. I'm not at Andrés skill level but the Heli Bronze manouvers actually aren't t...

Hi Jason (secant0give), Andre & I are keen to test for our Helicopter Bronze Wings. You mentioned that you could enquire at Vineyard as to the availability of a Gold Heli instructor to test us. No hur...

I feel ripped off. Forecast last night was for moderate winds up to 35km\hr, so made the executive decision to give flying a miss. Was no wind here at Cherrybrook at 9am and now at 11:30, still only ...

I have a 12V soldering iron that I soldered a XT60 plug onto the end so I can power it from 3S packs (Could be a chicken & egg scenario here! - obvious used another iron!). (You can also buy these iro...

Gazza had warned me that the Bear has a tendency to Snap Roll under large up elevator movement, which I have experienced myself. Finally deciding to investigate this, I found that there was a large am...

Some Photos from today's Fly-in at Vineyard. Craig's big Cessna is impressive but he had trouble getting the petrol engine to run properly. A minute into the maiden and he was calling dead-stick as t...

Viperjet $100. Viperjet & EDF $140.
6,728
Just locking up now. Not a large turnout, but a good days flying and some good bush care done.
2,847,544
Not sure what shape the field is in but I'll be arriving at 8:45am to open up. Bush care is starting at 8, so gate should already be open actually!
2,847,544
Probably no need for a field inspection. Fair to assume it would be flooded again.
1,359,803
Yes. EDF with motor is still available as well. So if you want both EDF and Jet for $140, they're yours.
6,728
ViperJet still for sale !!! Don't everyone rush at once! LOL !! $$$ 100 $$$
6,728
Gate is now open for any die hards. Drive in slowly to avoid slipping and damage to the turf & you'll be ok. I'm mainly flying Helis but foamies should also be ok. No wind & sunny at the moment.
2,847,544
Sorry about the weather guys. I've taken an RDO today (Mon). Obviously the cause of the rain ! (In case I had any ideas of flying).
