Hi guys
Just wanted to draw your attention to a sneeky little
HK trick that has caught me out.
I usually use the HK 929MG Digital servos on my foamies.
They are a good cheap little servo.
Hobby King have now changes these to analog servos and kept the
same 929MG name.
If you want the original 929MG digital servos they are now just called
HK Digital Servos.
When you look at the product codes the analogue is CS929MG
and the digital is DS929MG
Lucky I only bought a couple this time so I'm not too worried but I would have been a bit pissed if I had bought a lot.

It arrived this morning and it's Big!!!!!Biggrin
Had to unpack it to make sure all was ok,
glad I did it when wife was out otherwise she would
have gone balistic at me using the dining room table.
Just for reference that table can sit 8 people for dinner.
Also put F86 next to it for scale.

Now how am I going to get it down to the field?????????? Smile

Hi guys....was hoping for an answer on this from someone with more knowledge than I!....
I have one of the HK mossies and am setting up (weather permitting) for the maiden tomorrow.....
I do have another bit of a concern.....since swapping to the MAS props.....my prop nose cones (and the props...? hard to tell) have a bit of a wobble to them....god knows how this happened....either the nut behind the backplate is not sitting flush (I epoxed the nuts to the backplate) or the backplate has become a bit distaughted. However I'm in no mood now to investiage as I took ages to 'fatten out' the prop shaft with a few layers of heatshink to enable the wider shaft hole to fit the prop shaft (this has worked for me quite well in the past)........
may as well make use of the iphone....
I've uploaded the vid of the 'offset prop'.....the other side is not as bad. The prop shaft is DEF not bent....
What do you guys think?? I am risking it? There is no abnormal noises upon rotation at high speeds.

Cheers all......

Just a little something that I thought you guys might like to share.

When I was in Norway last year, and passing through Bodø, I dropped into the aviation museum there. Here is some of the photos.

I apologise for the quality, the lighting was so that I could not get it right.

Out the front, a Hawker on a stick... or should I say Hawker på sticker...

Inside the foyer, a Freedom Fighter on two sticks

In the adjoining airforce base, a F104 Startfighter on a stick

Norwegians like putting things on sticks, so it seems.

MY MOSQUITO!!! Upset (I failed to sneak it out. In fact I failed to budge it at all).

F104 not on stick

This Ju88 was placed just as it was recovered. Including bonus Moose.

The Spit again.

I think I have enough gear now to justify the need of a carry case. Where do I buy one?

Thought I would do a build thread to show everyone
how I go about rebuilding an old airframe.
This is my old Parkzone P51 which has seen better days and
after some very rough treatment I fibreglassed and repainted.
Again she was showing signs of neglect most due
to dreaded torque roll on my hand launches.
This time I'm going to install a set of mechanical retracts that I've
had lying about for over a year.
Also, I'm going to try a couple of new building tecniques that I've been
reading about on various forums.

Ok first up Off with the old paint and fibreglass.

Lots of stuff to come off

Mustn't forget the cockpit.

As you can see I've got a bit of work to do with the sanding and filling
so stay tuned for the next installment.
