Hi Guys,

I picked this up from a friend from work last night.

He has had it in his garage for a very long time & was given to him & he has never flown it.

The plane I believe it was built from scratch plans and is very well made as can be seen.

Shall convert it to electric in the future - thinking I may take it down for a static display on Australia Day.

My Christmas present has arrived. A SuperAndCheaper special. $81 + delivery! Should be flying in the next month or two. It's a 46-size, IC conversion so are there any suggestions for a motor? Smile

Dad reckons it would go close to the size of one of the large PC-9's that we have over there. We took it out of the box and we were like "Woah!".

Just had to show this off.
It arrived this morning along with Kev's BAE Hawk.
This is what $1000 gets you (including the retracts)

Still have to buy the Stumax 90mm EDF and all electrics so
she is a long off from a maiden flight.
This will be my plane to take to the turbine meets like Temora and
Cudal etc.
I am a happy chap Smile

--Kiz Edit--

Rescaled pic so it loads in this lifetime Wink

hi guys

first of all, merry Xmas to all!!!!

Yesterday I finaly received my xmas pressie, a brand new RTF Blade 400 3D which comes with the DX 6i. I bought it myself from RC Hobbies few weeks ago and picked it up from the shop. I did notice that the box seal was broken but I had a quick sneak peak inside and all looked ok. When I got home, missuz wrapped it up and its been under the xmas tree until yesterday.

I know VERY LITTLE about helis and planes, only used to do cars in the RC world. I read a LOT on the forums and watched the 10 day instructional video on rchelicopterfun which was handy.

Now, I just wanted to ask re the settings on the DX 6i. First of all, it was in MDL1 which had a little picture of a plane there which seemed odd as the standard heli functions were not accessible (ie swash mix). When I changed it to MDL2, it has little heli picture there but the settings were completely incorrect (I googled the default 6i settings). Obviously, I had to re-bind the Tx and Rx and then set it up from scratch. Not a bad excercise as I got used to the menu and many of its functions.

The conroller plastic seems fine and undamaged but the main lcd has lots of micro scratches on it. See what I mean :

Do you guys think they sold me a 2nd hand controller? I know it works ok (well, havent flown with it) and if anything goes wrong, I still have the full warranty but it seems odd.

Is it worth taking it back for a new one or should I just keep it and be happy?

When I was packing up today I found a small
aluminium case with a few batteries in it.Smile
I'm thinking that they may belong to either Chris or Victor.
How about it chaps? Are these yours?
I brought them home with me so if you want to contact me let me
know where/when I can return them.
Otherwise I can consider them as treasure found at the end of
the rainbow.Biggrin
