I've successfully used the fibre tape that Claudius mentioned in some of my builds. You can get it at Bunnings. It's like a clear packing tape with fibre threads running through it.

Yea Andrew as Steve says 6v is quite common these days. All DX6i are powered by 4 AAA batteries. Also it's easier if you buy the right mode at the beginning that way you know it should work ok.
