I flashed my CC3D with Librepilot - it's a fork of Openpilot by some of the original developers and will have continuing support of the CC3D FC as well as the revolution FC.

I'm hoping that it will be drier by the time I'm back in OZ.

You should add the the controllers can also be used with fixed wing as well as rotary wing aircraft, Bob. The CC3D one doesn't support a GPS receiver so doesn't have position hold and return to home....
