Short answer:
Outboard Flaperons (both ailerons down) = Bad, Promotes tip stalling
Outboard Spoilerons (both ailerons up) = Good, promotes increased AoA to allow slower approach, less likely to tipstall as flow is attached to outboard ailerons at higher AoA (Inner Wing stalls first you then mush into a pancake stall. Too slow!).
I had them setup on my Trojan, nigh on useless for something that light really.
