New Club Caps and patches are in.
Good news the club caps and patches have arrived and are available for members to collect from the field.
Each current fully paid member is eligible for a cap and badge as part of their membership.
I will be out Sunday morning if you want to collect them.
The forecast looks good so I hope to see you tomorrow.

Bit of a windy day today, a visitor called Peter brought out his nice Tiger Moth, which he flew but unfortunately lost a wheel on takeoff. He managed to land though without damaging the plane.

   

There was a bit of drama later, with an aerial dogfight between a magpie and Ross (I think) sailplane. Neither side could claim victory though.

At the end, when the wind picked up even more, I found I could fly my kmart foamie backwards! I managed a landing without moving too

Mccoy field is in top shape for flying this weekend. Lots of flying expected from 8am till when the heat or wind gets too much.
If you would like to visit the entrance is on Tucks rd Seven Hills or you can take a walk from the Toongabbie Side.

Looking at the forcast weather for this weekend-  Very high chance of showers, most likely in the morning and afternoon.
I found last Wednesday that its not good to have my paper coved foamboard plane in the weather.

Some members might be at Mccoy park having a quick fly between the rain falling so no particular time can be given that we are open for flying under MAAA rules.

If the gate is open at Tucks rd Seven Hills you can drive in as members will be parked in the pit area. Flying is only allowed at Mccoy park if a club (MAAA) member is present.
If you have a interest in the hobby please come along and have a look.

I'd appreciate it you'd ensure the weather is agreeable, the field is mown, all members are in attendance and the red carpet is laid out from the carpark to the flight line so my shoes need not touch the ground.

Thats Funny    great minds think a like its the first time i been on forum for ages , as i was thinking about popping in Tommorow myself, will see if the work gods allow it

A few of us were getting Mccoy ready in the heat today for you guys and any other new visitors looking into flying RC aircraft. Members are at Mccoy field in good weather from 8am to 2pm. 
Looking forward to seeing you Jason and Steve. I'll have the Rare Bear flying.

The strip was cut today and is it perfect shape but its going to be a even hoter Saturday and Sunday on the mid 30'sC.
I will fly the above Extra and rare Bear again tomorrow.
