I can't believe it! A beautiful sunny day with no wind and my wife offers for me to go flying and I turn it down!!!
Squeezing flying in between the pre-booked fathers day fixtures just wouldn't work well. Frown

Why didn't you give me a call?... I'd have run over there and given you some unneeded background noise. By the way mate, I think I'm finally getting around to understanding what you've been saying all along about quality gear versus ... "affordable" gear.
Catch up with you on Wednesday at the Bowlo!

Steve Murray

1. Drew, so sorry you didn't make i t down. We still need to discuss your mode 2 DX6i - which I would like.
2. Magic day indeed. My lovely wife said zippo when I was at "Bunnings" for 3 hours Wink . Dropped in on the way back from the field to get some lawn greening chemicals - but the battery bag copped a beating - oh yeah!!
3. Gazz, missed you by an hour and a bit. What a fantastic day (to go to Bunnings) !

So what's the story with Jit Kennict? (worst Kiwi accent I ever typed). Mr Travolta said all the Qantas planes were flown by Aussie pilots. I've been had !!!

I'm definately booked in to be at the field next Saturday - now watch the weather turn Frown.

You have my attention.

Dave, don't get me started on Jit Connict....particularly on an open forum. Wink

Don't get me started on QF in general at the moment.

I'm glad that I'm at home on workers comp for a while.....keeps me away from it all.

Gday Andrew

Mate that is a long time to be not flying? I'd be going nuts if that was me.
Hope the shoulder is on the mend.
FYI I will be on QF569 to Perth later today, this 767 will of course be flown by "real" QF pilots with the correct exemplary attitude and culture ingrained at a cellular level. It's always a pleasure being in the VERY best of hands.

Cheers
Rob B

Fixed-wing aircraft using undercarriage won't be able to use the runways this weekend (see the "Field Condition" thread), but helis, 3D and lightweight machines would be alright.

Steve Murray

Satuday morning and not a cloud in the sky... go figure!!
If the weather continues to improve ... I will be going out to Emu heights for a fly but will make a decision and post here at 9 am

Not me. I'm hoping that tomorrow maybe a little better.

There are strong winds blowing out here now Jason, not much chance of a let-up either.

Steve Murray

I went down around 10:00ish and bumped into John Hale who had come down for a visit but not to fly. I ended up leaving the RC gear in the car and doing some control line flying - with kites Wink.

I intend on going down to the field at around 9-30 for an hour or so.
I am hoping the lake on the angle strip has dried up.

I know its a little early gents but the weather forecast for the rest of the week is looking pretty bloody spectacular. If the weather continues as is we might be in for a cracker of a weekends flying, wont that be a nice change.

Yes, that would be a nice change Gazz - in fact Willy says 29 degC on Saturday!!
Unfortunately, I won't get to do a field inspection/report this Friday, as I have a f#*j€ing all-day meeting at work, so we might have to rely on someone else letting us know what to prepare for.
See you on the weekend!
