I'm back................
After a great week at Narooma (except for first day 585mm rain)
We were delayed 15km from our destination while police and SES decided whether or not
it was safe to cross a flooded Princes Highway. After 45 min delay we were allowed to cross
with emergency vehicles standing by in case anyone got into trouble. Another couple who were
joining us totaled their car when it rolled on the wet road and ended up in a creek.
Thankfully they were ok.
Rain stopped on Monday night and from then on it was great weather.
No Vodaphone reception at Narooma so no Internet or communication all week.
I've got withdrawn symptoms and need a simulator fix ASAP.
So did I miss much up here?

Paul, Sounds like you had an interesting Trip, Glad the weather turned in your favour.
Unfortunately i did not Fly at all this week end as i injured myself at Soccer on Friday night so i was lounge ridden.
But i reckon the weather was perfect for Sat/Sun Flying who ever turned up down at the Field.

i'm sure someone will enlighten us of the details.

I went down on Saturday for an hour and had an alright time but had to run. On Sunday Darren mowed and the strip looks great now. It was stinking hot but there were a few of us down there. Maiden flight for Darren's Habu was great, its a very sweet flyer and if I had the cash lying around I grab it in a heartbeat! I was going to maiden the heli but had a few teething issues that Darren fixed and I maidened it in the arvo after everyone had gone, I'm very happy with the results so far (Only hovering for now). Looking forward to more hovering next weekend!

damn i missed a habu flight! im still waiting to find out the price from kellets kizz and fingers crossed i get to see darrens this saturday! im glad to hear she flew well.

Yeah, they are a bit exxy but very much worth it as they've used some quality parts. I hope to make it down for a little bit tomorrow but am targetting mainly Sundays for flying at the moment.

I was down the field for a couple of hours today but
did not fly.
I'm hoping that Darren will be down tomorrow so that we can maiden both
the F16 and the Tucano.
Gunfighter of course, will be there so intend to get a bit of flying in tomorrow.
Let's hope weather is as good as it was today.

me tarzan, me happy , me have habu waiting at kellets!

these are hard to find only 2 left at kellets and i couldnt find them anywhere else in sydney.. i was looking for BNF but only PNP available , suppliers all saying no more till june ! i couldnt wait that long so i sold my nokia N97 to fund the project (pay for it) .. so dont bother leaving a message if you call me.. lol just kidding im using old phone.. is that dedication or just plain stupidity ? anyway i cant wait to fly into the dangerzone, somebody tell darren he can be my wingman anyday!

Unfortunately I won't be there on Saturday, I have another committment.
I will be flying on Sunday this W/E so if you can make it then I will bring your plane and last Hobby King order with me.
Alternatively are you going get a mid week fly in before the W/E, if you are I will meet you at the field.

Yep mate he has been wanting a Habu since Parkzone
first brought them out in the states around October last year.
I'm doubtful of getting to the field tomorrow as I've got a few
things to do.
I'm planning on being down there on Sunday though.
Have made up a new balsa set of tailerons for the F16 so
hoping to get some flights in with that.

Confirmed! Field is very damp and it's a bit windy. If it stays windy and sunny, it should be ok for tomorrow but the water was above the Concrete last night.
