Not sure about the latest gopro, But I think the earlier one has limitations on the resolution you can use for recording if you use the AV out at the same time. I seem to remember something along those lines in the instructions. I wonder is the latest version the same?

Hi Chris.
Just brush it on.
I even brush it on when I'm applying it as a finishing coat.
It drys clear so no worries about brush marks.

Hi Jason or anyone else that can help.
The canopy off my Seb Art Sukhoi decieded to part company with the aircraft last weekend, after spending over 2 hours in the bull rushes, it could not be found. So as they do not make that model of the aircraft anymore I find myself in need of one.
I want to build one out of foam. It is about 130mm wide, 130mm high and the longest part is 560mm long. I was thinking about making a canopy frame and heating some ultra thin perspex to shape it but think the best and simplest option is to make one out of laminated foam. So if anyone has some foam left over from a project, I would like to buy it. If no one has enought foam to manufacture it then can you let me know where I can get said foam from so I can buy it?

Had exactly the same problem with my little hobby king Extra 300
last week Gaz.
I went the balsa road to make mine. Found it so much easier than using foam which
I have used before too.
Get yourself a sheet of balsa about the width you need and if possible the thickness
of the battery hatch, then its simply a matter of adding layers of the sheet to make up
the height of the canopy and sand to shape.
Won't have a transparent canopy but from a distance it will look ok.

Another plug for Wired RC from me. Michael provides excellent friendly service -- even applied a store credit (in exchange for the cost of shipping back an earlier return, which itself was hassle free) on a subsequent order without prompting.

No association, other than as a happy customer of several orders.

Another site for the crowd....

http://frontlinehobbies.com.au

This is the huge toy/hobby shop in Newcastle - they also sell some RC stuff. Generally their prices are ok, but the thing they don't advertise well is if you become a member at $25 a year, you get 10% off. Depending on the price of what you buy, this can make things rather attractive.

Well done guys, 2 great sites for this thread. All you newbies out there, please note I always recommend the E-Flite Apprentice as the best beginner plane and frontline hobbies have a Plug N Play in stock for $239.00. They are popular & often out of stock at most outlets in Australia.

Was browsing the Hobbyking.com site (as most of us do) and noticed this medium sized trainer plane http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...n_Fly.html .
From the reviews, it appears suitable for a newbie who has a tight budget.

Looks like many people think the same, looking at the stock level being Zero !!

The agree the colour has gone from traditionaly ugly to decidedly efen ugly

But these are great flyers and make really good sports models. I like my old ugly stick, it's survived about 15 years, mind you a fair bit of that time has been in storage. But it gets a run now and then since it's become electricly powered.

That would be a great plane for training people to go from beginner to sports. I think it would be even better if you ran it on 4S, but you would want to put a decent spar in the wing if you were going to use it for proper sports flying.

Hi Frank,

Think I saw Hitek radios at Hobby in the Hills a few days ago. Worth a try.

Failing that you could try this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...ouse_.html It will handle the torque and is fast but not metal geared nor digital. From Australia though.

Here is another one that comes to the specs of the one you want
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...0_06s.html Coming UPS from China shouldn't take long.

Good luck.
