Videos: RC Flying

Great Footage There, all this video footage has re inspired me to start doing some really cool and crystal clear footage not just with my Planes, but with other hobbies i could of use it too, when surfing the other day and rip sticking on holidays, or skiing last time or when i was fishing with my Father etc.

Just have to Pick The right Unit for the jobs and save up for it.

That is AWSOME !! very very clever stuff I love autonomous systems like that. It's the sort of thing that might be used to build structures on another planet in the future. These kind of experiments have very big possibilities!!

I think we might well be very afraid when we see them refined enough to allow quad copters to autonomously self replicating into even more quad copters. !! that is a scary thaught Smile

ok guys, here we go ... another crash with my Cessna !!! at this rate, I will be the PRO of crashes !

I made two mistakes this time :

1. plane was not trimmed out at all
2. the aile servo was reversed and I had a mix with the rudder so when I applied left turn it banked right and then I panicked and switched the throttle off and u can see what happened then ...

this time I recorded it :

If We cannot Stop you at least we can Watch Leet

Seriously checking all controls prior to Take off and maybe a buddy setup or some help so to save you heartache and dollars.

thanks guys ... I know I know I know ... I told myself millions of times to check things but I get just so excited ! I could not come to the field this morning as I had to baby sit Frown . But will definitely be out there tomorrow!

I glued the wing together and will put the linkages back in tonight so hopefully she will be back to action tomorrow. Had to replace on servo as well. Flaps will be disabled, not that I need them at this stage anyway.

I bought another cessna from HK today, they are onhly $79 delivered from NSW WH (the BNF version) and I am sure I will need the spare parts ! (its certainly cheaper than buying bits and pieces separately)

In the famous words of Andrew R "Holy snappin dooley That could have taken an eye".

That's what I was wondering. You'll probably have to save the image to your 'phone and then walk around the newly mown parts of the field with it handy to line up your position. Good luck with it!

Hey i Took this shot from my new hd key camera video clip, here is a more overview of Field, It was Taken on Tuesday Afternoon.
Haven't up linked video as its Upside down and don't have software to rotate mov files for uploading. As the new Hd uses Mov files not the Standard AVI files.

Not Bad Pictures Clip Looks Great Though.

A bitter-sweet bit of footage. Bitter that it happened, sweet that you captured it.

If it had been a carrier deck landing it would have been perfect! Catching the 3rd wire is the goal. Smile
The recent rain has caused one of the trees to grow a bit larger than it used to be. Last week would have been fine, but this week.....
A pair of gum boots, a long pole, and some trail-blazing through the reeds was required for a safe recovery. Smile

Looks Like you Too Got The Footage of The Tree landing you Done lol.

Yeah Its A Shame but its Great to get the footage.
Was Keen to redo the Glider with the spare airframe i had anyway, as it was a little beaten up from all the prototype motor mounts and it had a tendency to dive at high speed with the motor and wing mount just not quite right.
So it will be good to a a fresh one up in the Air with High Voltage Wires radar detector system installed.

I also Changed the You Tube Clip Of The wire Hit as i Realized it wasn't the mov file direct upload which is clearer and a lot better.
The old one was a indirect upload via power producer that degrades the footage.

Heh Rob Thats the Red Paint Painted Under main wing braking up off the Film Covering

Samste - that keychain camera is excellent, you've got a great video capture solution there. Have to get the details off you some time as Junior has been talking about giving that sort of thing a try. Your flying is nice and smooth too, which often isn't the case with other clips I've seen - things usually look alright from the ground, but the airborne camera view usually shows wild, jerky movements which aren't good to watch but yours was pretty easy on the eye.

Andrew - sorry to see the Spit take out the willow at the western end, I hope it's alright. I really want to hear your Benedini stuff doing its thing.
