Thanks Jason - that may well be the most impressive RC video I've ever watched. Nerves of steel.

Nice clip Jason.
Now there is a very talented young fella.
Would be nice to have the money to practice with a $3000 aircraft.

Watched the video in awe, all I kept saying was "planes dont do that, must be digitally enhanced". (Tongue in cheek of course). An absolutely spectacular display of what must be the result of too many free hours to practice

I think a bit of the money comes from sponsors like JR and Desert Aircraft.

I agree tho' How nice would it be to fly a machine like that one !! and how nice would it be to have a field like that too, did you notice how nicely, like a billiard table, the whole field looked ?

Looked like there was a bit of a breeze blowing as well

Yes the brisk left to right breeze made the whole video seem a like a walk in the park.
Hovering and/or 3D work is a lot easier to hold station into when you have a nice left to right breze to work your aircraft against.
The guy is still a legend.

Those guys are awesome!
So, we nick your big bird, config to say flaps 20 vref+40, install samste in seat 10a and see if the funjet keeps up.
Let me know when your ready to go.
I'll sit in the right seat, fixate on N1 and N2 and play with the FMC from time to time. I'm getting very comfy with that.

Yikes BB

You'd be zipping along at well over 300kts then?
That might be a stretch for samste?
How about we take my bus and I'll throw some low level low speed alpha floor protection at the problem. Will be doing about 1/3 of your speed.
There's a great training video we can watch beforehand that was made when the bus first came into service. It shows off alpha floor protection really well, it also showcases aerial logging and bush fire hazard reduction burns. Brilliant stuff.

LOL Rob. The problem with bus drivers is....they can't see the forest for the trees!!!! An oldie but still a goodie.

Yep, BB, that's what the diff is between bus drivers and aircraft B pilots.
We don't distinguish trees/ forests etc like normal humans, with true Gallic flair one lands in the forest to view the trees directly.
You guys just don't have the guts to commit like that.

Yeh, knew you'd be onto it. Speaking of geek the earlier video with the old rc equipment was amazing.
We are so spoilt nowdays, our kids are going to look at our stuff the same way too.
Can you post up the habsheim crash vid? It's an epoch accident that needs to be remembered.
On my iPhone at the mo and can't get the link attached?

Yes, a memorable prang. Was it an A321 Rob?

... and what the HSI are you guys on about? Sounds like a load of HUD to me. Samste's Stryker's ESC smokes before that speed.
