Just a few quick questions:

How many people use/look at the Google spreadsheet order calculations? If so, is it all the time or only occasionally?

The reason I ask is that I've pretty much maxed out what Google supports in terms of formula & spreadsheet size. Would people be ok with me taking the group order history's offline and back into excel. I would of course have the spreadsheet available on request but wouldn't automatically send it with every group order email.

For me Personally, i don't need to look at history so it doesn't bother me.
And like you said if someone wanted to refer back to passed items and cannot remember what they ordered, so they can order the same again.
They can refer to excel spreadsheet.

Kieran,
Like the others I don't really need access to the old orders, so taking them off line would be fine with me.

Hi Guys

I had a little indiscresssion with landing my Eflite Ultimate last weekend and damaged the wing covering material on a rouge super weed.

I dont really want to buy an entire roll to make a minor repair.

Does anyone have some white and some clear covering film, I only need 100 mm square of both materials.

Just a heads up, Just got SMS saying free shipping for the next 12 hours from hobbyking.
Not sure how it works as theres no coupon code or anything, and if its still valid.

But if your interested in a plane and want to save $15.00 on shipping it may be the time.

This is a good Buy, Big with all the options and std 2200ma 3s http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...duct=15028

Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone knows if the Turnigy Covoring Film Iron is any good? I just got an email from our friends at HK saying that they have arrived back into stock.

I have a complete airplane to cover and after that one has finished I am gving some serious thought to a building a second one which will need covering as well.

At the moment I don't have a spare Household Iron or heat gun or any other way of applying the covering. The only Iron we have is the one that the missus uses for ironing my work shirts with so I'm a little reluctant to try using that one incase I bugger it and find bits of brightly coloured melted plastic all over me when I show up for workFrown

Thanks
Mick

I use a surplus household iron for my covering and it works well. Easy to pick up at the nearest reject shop or even bigW - no shipping and no waiting Wink.

However, those tricky corners are a bit tight and it is always nice to have the right tool for the job.

Yeh, I've only used a surplus clothes iron - got good enough results with that, since it has a reasonably pointy toe. The only tricky bit was getting the temperature setting correct - I had it too cool to start with.
All the best,
Steve

Gday Mick

HK covering is good, easy to use albeit a little heavy, I can lend you my iron if you like as I have no covering jobs on at the moment. Planning to be down at the field tomorrow and/ or whenever Kieran Gazz and Andrew are around as I need some heli help.

K,

I'm going to put an order for some more carbon fibre rods on the group order page but they can eait to be bundled wit hthe next big packaging order - don't specifically add them unless our order is already big enough or a few others need rods too.

Drew.

Very tempted. If only it was balsa.
Not quite sure if it has the thrust required.

Yes, a bit confusing there Chris - I initially saw the jaw-dropping spec in the item description of "powerful twin 40 size brushless outrunners" and assumed it meant .40 IC equivalent as is usually the case when that sort of terminology is applied. Then the photographs show some tiny bell-type motors ...
It will be interesting to read a few reviews once they appear!

I see that HK have a black Friday sale on all weekend.
The prices of certain items changes every 6 hours but sale is
on all weekend only.
Are we going to be placing a group order before end of weekend?
If so, I may buy a couple of batteries,
Otherwise I may just order something myself.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the service from the
HK NSW warehouse is really good.
As I mentioned above HK had a black Friday sale going all over
the weekend. I really needed to replace a couple of my batteries
so I ordered and paid fom them just before midnight Sunday Night.
They arrived here today just before 1pm. Keep in mind that this was via
road transport only because of being batteries.
Don't know if I'm the first club member to receive something from the
NSW warehouse but I really am pleased with the service.
