ST Cessna repaint
#1

Decided to test out my new key ring camera with a couple of photos
of my new colour scheme for my newly modified ST Cessna.
New Nose wheel assembly and new C3530 1100KV motor to replace the
stock one that burnt out.

Still unfinished but you get the general idea of how she will look.

So Far everything I've painted (Mustang & Cessna) have been hand painted.
I bought 2 airbrushes from HC but I don't have a compressor for them.
I tried to be smart and buy a small compressor from Supercheap Autos but
bought the wrong thing(tyre compressor) so the fittings don't match.
Waiting to see what Father's day is going to bring Wink
Maybe I'll end up buying a compressor from HC.

Looking good Paul, Quick question couldn't' tell if it is a 4ch or not :?:
It will be good to see that one up in the air. Smile
What Size prop you going to use

I Like the color

May need these if you going to fly this weekend the way the weather is turning out Wink

Quick note with mini key camera, If for some reason you cannot get it to work Do this -

Quote:Reset Button Insert a pin into the reposition pinhole to restart it
I found this out just recently when i dropped it on the garage floor, and it did not want to turn on after-wards.
It can also do this if you overcharge it as well as seller explained via email
All working now. Smile

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the camera details. Good to know in case of problems.
What do you mean if you overcharge it? I was just going to leave it plugged into
the usb port all the time except when going down the field.
Is this a bad thing to do?

Cessna is the 5ch model (Flaps) there are a few of them in the club
hence the decision to paint mine.

It will be nice to see the flaps in action on the Cessna, I reckon too a coat of polyurethane clear like my A-10 for a stand out finish Smile

I don't think you should leave it on all the time assuming the batteries inside are lithium/lipo they may overheat trickle charging
as the batteries should hold there charge once charged like any other battery, and just top it up before you intend to use it if been stored for a long time.
As per my email from supplier i bought mine from this may also cause the unit to stop working and you will then have to reset as per instructions

Finished the painting tonight.
Added some black under the nose up to the rear wheels with a white
bar separating it from the blue top.
Will now leave it overnight and then apply a coat or (four) of
polyurethane to finish it off tomorrow.
Will post another photo then.

Ok Steve, I'll take the camera off the usb now.
No point in overcharging it.
Thanks for the advice.

Here is a couple of better photos taken with my digital camera.
Note new black bottom and Registration details.
This is after 2 coats of polyurethane, probably add at least 1 other.
