Another thing you can do stop over control which causes elevon failure on the Skyfuns is to set your elevons up with dual rates.
I take off and land with my servos set at 100% but once airborn and approaching silly speeds I switch over to 40% . It makes the aircraft alot more predictable but certainly not docile at silly speeds.
Over control of the elevons at silly speeds is more than likley the cause of that type of failure.
