Bummer... stopped to have a fly of my Stinger 64 and managed to bend it. Wasn't happy just breaking the nose off but had several more frustrated attempts at hand launching only to put a few breaks and cracks in it. Couldn't understand why I couldn't successfully hand launch it when they seem to do it relatively easily on Youtube. My attempts would see it either nose dive into the ground, seemingly because of a lack of airspeed, or it would torque roll into the ground. Even when I managed to roll it back, it would wobble and hit the ground before got enough airspeed. Research on the net suggested it might be nose heavy... Ahh! that makes sense - probably from the bigger than recommended Lipo in the nose! Others using the same battery have pushed it further back in the battery bay to move the COG back. Just goes to show that you can't ignore the basics. I probably checked the COG at some stage but probably with this sort of higher speed EDF type plane, it's pretty critical to get it right, especially when you're waiting for airspeed to build up in those first few seconds. Anyway... damage isn't too bad... a bit of hot glue and another check of the COG and hopefully improve it's hand launch success (don't really want to stuff around with bungies etc).
