What Do You Mean Theres a Throttle Curve ?, Its Either all the way up or all the way down Tongue_smile

So Steve - how did it look?
Seems as though there's a fair chance of some light rainfall over the next 48 hours, but hopefully not enough to close things down if the field was looking promising today.

Steve Murray

Forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday looks pretty good for the first time in weeks.
They predict almost no wind as well.
So I recon I will drop by the field on Wednesday afternoon on the way home from work from around 3.30 till 5.30 if anyone would like to join me.

Hi All,
I didn't get to fly last W/E and the weather outside is looking great so I'm about to leave work and head down to McCoy field for some twilight flying.
Should be there around 5-30 till 6-30.

Sorry Chris
I arrived home from work to late to join you. Any chance of a field report.
I am planning on flying from about 3.30 tomorrow afternoon.

Hi Gazz,
I went down and probably should have turned around straight away and come home but I didn't - it was quite windy. As a result of some dumb thumbs my old faithful Trojan is no more. Frown Frown Frown

The field is still very slushy and the main strip still has a couple of patches of surface water. You wouldn't have know that I mowed last Friday it has grown already and I doubt Darren's chances of mowing this W/E given the forecast and current field condition - if he tried to mow now he would be bogged in 2 seconds flat.

Overall hand launched and smaller planes are the go.

Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris.
Sorry to here about the demise of the mighty Trojan.
I was planning on giving my Hotliner its maiden amoung a few other fun flights, but I'm not landing my new $1000 aircraft in a muddy mosh pit.
If its that crappy I think I will give tomorrow a miss.
Our fields continuing poor condition is really starting to frustrate me beyond comprehension.
If it wasn't for the easy access to Penrith and our recent Kellyville find, Most of our club members would not have been able to fly regularly for almost 5 months.... isnt that depressing!

Thanks again
Gazz

Hi Chris,

Sorry to hear that your faithful Trojan is no more after so many exciting flights.

I get the distinct impression that it would have been the plane that clocked most flying hours since the inception of the club.

It's only an impression but somehow I think I am right.

Ciao

Are you still thinking of going Gazz? Weather is looking too good to miss right now... contemplating heading over late afternoon / early evening.
