Archive: Flying this Week...

(18-06-2010, 01:02 PM)robair Wrote:  Gday All

Wondering if someone may be able to help me out with the below.
Myself and some members of my team will be giving a hardcore corporate presentation in Brisbane next friday (25/06/10).
We will be going as Airport Ground Crew in order to support the theme of the presentation, what I am asking is does anyone have access to the flouro vests that ground crew wear when on the tarmac (or similar)? We require the temporary loan of 3.
Hope someone can assist with this.

Cheers
Rob Byrnes

no worries rob, ive got three for ya , ill bring them down sunday when i come to fly... Smile

Good Stuff Kev, thanks heaps for that.
Just have to check though, should my team be concerned that they may get hit by something whilst wearing these vests?

Cheers Rob Byrnes

Indoor Flying this Thursday evenning 5th August. Do you have a Parkzone miniture P51 or Cub and need still air to fly it? For the past several years there has been an indoor flying meet in the basket ball court at Strathfield. Interests are varied - Homemade, RTFs, Rubber and small helicopters. Usually a small group of 7-10 people, no formal membership requirements. Cost is nothing to watch, to fly is $5, kicks off from about 7pm and winds up by 10pm.

Location Seventh-Day Adventist School, Albert Rd, Strathfield.

flying tomorrow ?

Not tomorrow but I'm V keen to be there Sunday. Is the meeting still at the field at 10:00am?

is anyone flying today ?
is there a trainer at the field..
thanks

Bashar,
We don't have trainers as such at the field, but there are a couple of guys in
the club who will usually help new people to have a fly.
Impossible to say if they will be down at the field on a particular day or time.
Best advice I can give is to go to the field and see who is there.
As for today, not sure if anyone is flying as ground conditions are still probably
rather wet. If they are, they may have left their car in the street and walked down
with their gear.
We will be holding our AGM at the field tomorrow morning weather permitting and possibly
some people may have a fly afterwards but again it may depend on conditions.

KevB and I got down to the field this morning - excellent conditions, just the faintest breeze every now and again. It's actually still perfect at the moment (as I sit in my study, supposedly studying ... but looking out the window towards the field).

Going to try and head down field later this afternoon for a Flyyyyyyyyy if anyone is keen and available, come down.

I'm so green at you guys who can pop over during the week. Luckily it's been too windy by the time I get home from work to tempt me to sneak out.

Hi Guys,

Depending on the weather & state of the field I am intending going down to the field after 1pm.

The boss has given me her blessing & all is OK.

Is anybody else considering on going down?

If someone is going down in the morning can they post some info about the field condition?

I have texted Chris & he has indicated he might be going down.

Hope to see you there guys & have a Happy Fathers day.

Well Ingo - to be direct about it, I wouldn't suggest that you bother to pack your gear into your car, unfortunately.
Judging by the way the field looked this afternoon, we're all grounded.
I can make a check on the field tomorrow morning if you want me to, but I really don't think it's going to be our weekend.

Other than that, have a great Father's Day and keep out of mischief!
