Field Condition...

G'day Gazz

You have got to stop paddling in the harbour and get out and see the wide wonderful world mate.
FYI I am on a train right now. If you are up to seeing some Mass Transit porn I will take a photo or two of this trains nuts? If I am careful I may be able to get a screw too? Want me to put in a good word for you?

Cheers

We drove through the storm over the Hay plain. When we got to Barmera, they said some places we're reporting 60-70mm!!!

I was going to walk over to the field and have a look at how it's progressing this morning ... but since it's bucketing down now, I'll put that little plan on hold Frown

No PJ - don't do that, it's just more of a mess to clean up and we've got enough at McCoy already!

Well Steve, you might have good weather and a place to fly your one plane, but face it - you are still in Maryborough.

I had a look at the field today at about midday.
It's a forlorn sight - reminds me of one of those abandoned wartime airfields seen on documentaries. Lots of water lying about, along with long grass and weeds that almost make it difficult to pick out recognisable features. It's gunna take a while ...

I mowed as much of the field as I could this morning.
Ive done the heli area the pits and the taxi way which are all in pretty good shape now they have had a mow. I also mowed as large an area as I could on the north eastern end of the main strip. Its not the best runway in the world but guys with smaller aircraft with landing gear will be able to use it. Its not a huge area but its is big enough to allow some flying.

I was too self indulged tidying up from yesterday & looking at trojan damage (more than first seen until wing removed, but still repairable) and before logging into forum, was too late to join you at field to help. I am sure I speak for all in thanking you for your field efforts, you are on the committee for good reason Thumbup .

Gazz, thanks very much for your efforts today. I'll echo Wayne's "excuse"...err..reason too. Smile

Yeah, thanks Gazza. Was thinking of popping down for a fly in the morning (weather depending). The freshly mown field will be much appreciated.

hey guys if any one is going out to the field tommorow what time do you guys normally start. was wondering if i can come down and check it out cheers.

Hi Husni,
Weekends are our normal regular flying days where we
start around 8:30am on the Saturday and 9am on the Sunday.
Mid week is not structured like that and members usually wait to see what
the weather is like on the day before deciding if they will go down to the field.
There could be a couple of members fly tomorrow due to it being the holiday season
but maybe not a lot as our field is still in need of repair and is unsuitable for the larger models.

Thanks for ripping in to the mowing Gazz !!
I was keen to take my mower down there on Tuesday but it
sounds like you beat me to it.

Might see you there, John and Husni.

Will anyone with a key be along in he morning ?

Husni I'll post up when I'm heading down there
