Important Reminder
#1

Guys,
Sometimes as president I find myself feeling like a mean old fart.
I want to remind everybody that we have a requirement at all
fliers at our field be covered by insurance.
This includes (especially)newbies.
I draw your attention to our club joining information on our homepage.
Unless the new person already holds an insurance card obtained through another club they must apply for provisional membership and once approved pay the necessary fees. Then and only then, can they be allowed to fly via the buddy system until one of our instructors deems them sufficiently able to fly solo.
Also I would just like to stress the importance of anyone who agrees to be the buddy provider that they must assume all responsibility for any incidents that may occur.
Overflying our neighbours premises is not to be done under any circumstances even if it results in you having to drop a plane into the reeds in order to avoid it.
We all want to be able to enjoy our facilities so lets make sure that they are not placed in danger of being withdrawn.
