Yeah, I can't fly it yet, but I could not help myself

Tongue

I walked into work today (yes, disclaimer, I work at Hobbies in the Hills), and say a stack of Escale Zero's, basically Plug and Play, for $49 each Shock

Easily worth jumping on one until I can fly low wing.... so I did. And now time to build.

Da borcs....

Fuse, as it appears, servos, conduits and ESC installed

Yes, it has a decent steerable tail wheel, unlike the other tail dragger I have.

Also a decent sized outrunner hiding behind the cowl

The included battery:

I didn't photograph the 1 metre main wing, with independent 'ron servos and retracts... Yes, retracts w/servo Biggrin I'm hella impressed with this model.

So, the tail plane is now setting in location while I write this. More soon.

Signature overload. That list just got ridiculous. However, Funcubs are .... fun.

Rudder attached, waiting for the slow set epoxy to cure a little more before the main wings go on.

To access the screw holes to hold the wing, I had to untract the retracts. The installed servo is quite snappy. I never have operated retracts before, and I was a little surprised Wierdo

Not a bad Price for Pnf Plane, Escale seem to be doing quite a few cheap Planes at the moment.

Yep... That's what I thought... But I'll be flying my little Hobby Zone Champ for a while yet, no matter what the Phoenix sim tells me. Even though we have "proper" planes hanging in the shop, the sheer size of this lump of foam on the dining room floor is a bit daunting.

Main wings mounted and more to come soon....

Okie, here it is as it was when I last posted:

Next, the prop. Little multi piece 3 blade. Shame the hub is chrome plastic, not alloy.

And installed. I used 2mm SHCS instead of the supplied phillips to secure the spinner.

Now, guns, cannons and pilot tube installed, slip on the canopy and it's done. I noticed I have forgotten to install the little duct that sits under the fuse at the fornt of the wings.

Indeed. I have an RC buggy that I have had for 27 years, I don't expect that sort of life span out of any plane I own Lol
