More video from out trip out into the desert
This is part of the mining boom that's fading, all be it a small part, there's still heaps of ore still there but it not as viable as it was because metal prices have fallen, so it's been abandoned mining may resume here if the price goes up again. The ore is mainly magnetite but some sections of it also contain a reasonable amount of copper, you can see the greenish tinges in it at one end of the pit.
