Spectrum DSMX
#1

Spectrum have bitten the bullet and realized that they needed band hopping technology to stay in the game.
Here are 2 links to the release of of this (new) technology.

Gday All

I finally got around to investigating the implications of this with my DX8, too easy, downloaded an update to the TX and I can now choose between DSM2 and DSMX. RC Model review makes an interesting point about the cheap HK receivers possibly being made obsolete/ redundant.
Gazz you should be easily able to do the same with your TX as it too has the SD card slot.

Yep it's easy as. For the DX8 Spektrum have set up a website called "Spektrum Community". https://community.spektrumrc.com/Login.a...fault.aspx

You register your radio on the site then check for updates. The DX8 uses "AirWare" software that Spektrum have already supplied 3 updates for. You download the update off the site, dump it to the SD card, wack the card in the radio then turn it on. The software installs automatically.
Ripper stuff. There is also a facility to download and install aircraft set ups, for example Habu, Radian, Trex 600 and a few others.

For the 11x the link below should be of assistance.
