Conditions: Passable, threatening to rain, light to moderate crosswind.
Aircraft: HK UAV 168 (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...duct=17106), 2x 4S 2200mAH, 100A speedy, Turnigy G25 870kv, 10x7 prop
Guys and I (finally!) finished putting together the UAV-168 today (configured just for a test flight with RC gear only; autopilot and other bits to follow later), and snuck over to Area 51 around midday just as everyone left was packing up or heading out.
Pilot reported no trimming required during climb out. Performed several circuits, at high and low speeds (with and without flap deployment), and a few practice fast approaches (which I think were interpreted increasingly nervously as aborted landing attempts by all watching) before a slightly hot but otherwise uneventful landing.
Logger on the CC speedy gives a (conservative) estimate of 12 mins cruise with this config.
Thanks again to Gaz for hanging about to lock up behind us, and to Steve M for some build advice along the way.
