They've appeared on AliExpress for pre-order, shipping late June apparently.

Not endorsing this store, just showing an example.

John Hopke (RCVR) has also done a review, with more detail on how to monitor rx and lipo voltage, and price estimates:

Andrew Newton has also done a review.

I think this is a big deal. I plan to order a few, even though I have already got a set of matek and betafpv rxs to cover the fleet.

Now a 14CH PWM receiver from BetaFPV!

The receivers have now started popping up for pre-order in Au stores;

Example from phaserfpv $41 ish for the ER-6, about 64% more than the Matek R24-P6, but should have more functionality when the SBUS/CRSF telemetry stuff comes along, and no need to solder anything yourself.

Radiomaster ER6 receivers

I have been using one of these receivers for a month, and it performs very well. I have not had a signal glitch, but then again my other elrs rxs (betafpv and matek rxs) do not have glitches either over a year of use. I cannot say the ER6 is better than matek receivers but it does come with PWM slots to plug in your servos. The matek rxs require soldering pins on the rx, or connecting the rx to a PWM extender board.

This video by John Hopke (a top elrs commentator and reviewer) is useful if you have an ER6, or a similar rx (ER8 etc).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sS8a5RfwXlw&t=1s

It describes how to flash an ER6 using the UART method. I have never flashed a ER6 rx via UART, I use the wifi method which is quick and simple, and indeed I rarely use the UART method on other gear (rxs and tx modules). However John says the day will come when you have to flash the ER6 and the wifi method fails, then you either flash it by UART or bin it. John describes why you need to buy the dongle.

The video also shows how you can connect the ER6 rx to the balance lead on your lipo to get the total lipo voltage in telemetry. It also shows the sbus connection.

I'm thinking of getting one to use in my big plane, I currently have a matek r24-P6 in it with double sided Velcro, but the idea of the proper case has merit. I'd like to explore the additional sensors when they become available too

For my foamies I'll stick with the matek receivers, hot glued in, as they're small, light and have enough functionality.

re Johns review of the uart method to flash an ER6 rx:

I have the betafpv recovery dongle, and I just purchased the wire kit that is used in the vid to connect the rx to the dongle. I plan to make the necessary wire with connectors to perform the uart flash, and if someone needs to borrow it at some stage for their er6 I can offer a loan of the dongle+wire.

The wire kit is the second item in the affiliate product list under the vid.
