Lots of flying yesterday after the showers cleared. If the weather is fine members are at Mccoy field from 8am on weekends.

There will be a BBQ this Saturday, so lets see you at the field....

Gravity sucks, or should I say, is the downfall of all things flying. It's the way it's controlled that makes the end memorable or not.

Lots of rain for tomorrow Saturday and windy on Sunday. No good for flying or a BBQ,

Its looking good for the weekend but there's a bit of mowing to do on Friday.
Nice flying today a Mccoy field with the sun out and no humidity for a change.
Ross has this foamboard plane still flying. Its like the Hilux ute out of TopGear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnWKz7Cthkk
I just noticed Steve high in the picture up side down.

Last Saturday with good weather we had lots of new flyers and not many regular members. Juki bought his Peonix sim setup to practice and show visitors.

Hey Everyone!!

My name is Josh and I’m interested in getting into model flying and have been looking for a field to become a member of. Turns out PRCAC is down the road from me which is great!

I read on the website that to become a member I need to turn up on a few weekends first and then fill out the registration form. Is that still the process?

I’ve currently started printing the parts to an Eclipson Panthera and will be putting it together over the next few weeks (I hope I can with uni 😅).

Excited to meet you all!!

Hi Josh , yes just come on a weekend morning with good weather. Our MAAA flying rules are much the same as this CASA advisory.
https://www.casa.gov.au/knowyourdrone/drone-rules
Because we are in a busy area CASA allows us to fly as a club under the MAAA.  https://www.maaa.asn.au/
We have a sporting lease of our flying area with Parramatta council and we do bush care with a BBQ a few times a year.
We are happy to help out beginners and get you in the air.

Anyone know what the field is like this weekend? Is it OK for walking in perhaps, or would you need a plane with floats?

Thanks!

A few of us drove in today. Its ok but a bit of mud at the gate.

Mccoy field is going to be very wet so like last week do not open the gate or drive in. I'll be heading there at 11 to have a look,
It's walk in only.

It’s been a while…. about 10years, but I finally made it down to the field today. It was great to catch up with some old faces and meet new ones. Thank you for welcoming me back😁
Can’t wait to be back in the air soon.🚁🛫

There's a test?    Confused

Sorry I couldn't make it down today, application form in hand!
I have it filled so will send it through to the Secretary.

I am only 4 flights in, hoping for my first paid-up member flight soon!
