Mega Sale pending
#1

G'day All

Please be advised that due to the current circumstances of Robair Airlines a major restructure is required.
The Robair Sale Act is creating a very uneven playing field in my garage and precluding foreign investment for more hangar space.
As such a fleet rationalisation is required.

This is just a heads up at this point as I need to clean things up and check airworthiness, this is going to take a couple of weekends. I also need to check batteries as they, like my aircraft have remained dormant for a long time.

Here's what will be up for grabs at stupidly low prices;

HK Sniper EP
Thunder Tiger J3 Cub 2m
Thunder Tiger Soaring Star 2m
HK Pitts Special EPO 1.6m unassembled
Sopwith Camel
Supermarine Spitfire
Hobbico Twinstar
HK500 TT heli
Super Sniper 90mm EDF
Alphajet EDF

Note that most aircraft will be airframes only therefore very cheap. This will be dependant on the condition of batteries, servos etc. Some are unassembled or need work. I'm not doing this to make $, merely to reclaim space and focus on a major project.

I will chuck up photos and more detailed specs in the near future.
I appreciate that this methodology is a bit unusual however I wanted to get this out there and give you all a bit of time to digest and think about what's on offer.

Cheers
Rob B

Dibs on the Sniper ... and maybe the Pitts 1600. But I have been dribbling on Snipers for a while now.

Signature overload. That list just got ridiculous. However, Funcubs are .... fun.

Hi Rob,

I'll take the Thunder Tiger J3 Cub. Always wanted one of them.

Let's know when you're ready.

I'll take the Spitfire, and possibly the DX8

It wouldn't kill me to miss flying for one day, but then again, why risk it.

G'day to our trio of 1st responders

I will try to get some data up for those aircraft today.
Note the Dx8 is not for sale, I am not doing a mh370 bolt from the hobby, more of a qantarse style rejig minus the angst.

NES JR 537 servos 2 aileron 1 rudder and 1 elevator.
Elite power 46
Dual sky 60amp ESC
HK ubec

Was running on a 6S 3000mah thunder power batt with a flightmax 2100 2S3P onboard pack.
I accidentally popped off the covering on one side of the fuse this morning so it will need a quick re-cover there.
She is a dream to fly and putts around on 1/2 to 3/4 throttle.

Can someone let me know how to upload photos from my iPhone?
Not sure how the URL thingy works?
Once I know that I will wack up photos and prices etc.

Gday All

Apologies for the slow replies, next fin year budgets have been killing me here at work.

John, i'll be speaking to you shortly. You can come over tonight if you like.

Chris Mc, The spitty is a HK job, 1.6m span, Brotherblonde has one albeit with some serious mods. My one is a bit beaten up with the paint and decals starting to fleck/ peel off a bit. You may want to have a look first?

Wolfie, the Pitts i'd let go for $150 (uber negotiable) however it has a big issue with a wing tube.

Steven, were you referring to the Sniper or Super Sniper? They are very different kettles of fish?

Mick, the Camel approx $200 (uber negotiable)

As the aircraft are in various states of build, need ESC's or potentially in need of repair or a spruce up it may be advisable to view first to avoid any surprises.

Cheers

Gday Steven

Ok, thanks for clarifying, The Pushy Cat is actually a Bossy Kitty.
Why you ask?
When I purchased her I did not like the tiny motor hanging half a mile off the back of the fuse. I a moment of Samste I decided that a 36mm motor inside the rear of the fuse running a 4S batt was the go.
I really need to get some photos to you to explain that. Balances perfectly BTW Smile

If you have a smart phone i'll shoot some pics over.

Gday BB

How are you Sir, hope all is well for you and Clan BB

Thanks for the vote of fiscal confidence, one thing is for sure I would not be trying to get in to a Low Cost Asian market, that was insane.
Also the 737-400's would have been put out to pasture years ago, sorry to say it but the 67's would have faced the axe a while back too.
The QSA needs a big haircut ASAP. I would also surely be in a mass brawl in the car park with the Unions.

Leadership not Management is the key for me and what I feel is missing right now!

Having said that running an airline is probably one of the toughest gigs out there and very hard decisions need to be made as a matter of course. I respect those who operate in that industry.

Cheers Mate

Gday All

Sniper EP is now gone.

I am now at the point where any ridiculous offer will be seriously considered. I HAVE to get my space under control ASAP, i.e last week, NOW etc etc

Still to go to a good home

Thunder Tiger J3 Cub 2m -$180, needs receiver and a batt
Thunder Tiger Soaring Star 2m - $130 - Receiver and batt required
Sopwith Camel $200, Needs ESC and Batt + receiver
Hobbico Twinstar $60 - Needs full shrink recovering, batt and receiver
HK500 TT heli - Kit only, never flown - $80, needs everything
Super Sniper 90mm EDF $120, needs everything however servo'd up
Alphajet EDF - $60, receiver and batt required

Feel free to argue the price and watch me cave in.
Possibilities that ESC's batteries and receivers could be added in some instances for a slight $ increase. I have quite a stash.

Cheers

Gday All

Just a quick update from the corporate world of Rob B.
End of Month reporting is complete, my teams KPI's and pay have been sorted. At this point in time I go into people mode and set up my team for success this month with support and coaching. As such my fiscal brain is cast aside as surplus to requirement.

What does this mean?

Whilst I suffer financial malaise I will show extremely limited financial responsibility in regards to the sale prices for remaining aircraft.

Make me an offer as I am in stupid $ mode.
Pick up tonight for potential bonus items.

Cheers Rob (What's that $ thingy used for?) B

Thunder Tiger Soaring Star 2m - $130 - Receiver and batt required

Hobbico Twinstar $60 - Needs full shrink recovering, batt and receiver

Just thought I would jump in and help Rob out here !!!
If anyone has been thinking about getting their first EDF.... grab a bargain and pounce on the Alpha Jet. I know because it used to belong to me and is a well balanced aircraft, it flies predictably and is a surprisingly good slow flyer for an EDF, it is not all that fast but you cant go past it as a first EDF.
