Richmond Pylon
#1

It's race time at Richmond next weekend

Come along and get amongst it

Even if your not flying it's well worth comming out for an AWSOME days entertainment. If you want to get involved and have a close look at how it runs there's plenty of oppertunities, as Callers are allways needed and so are people to take turns at opperateing the cage. It's a great day and there's usually a super BBQ for a just a coin or two.

There are no noise restrictions at Richmond, the field is on the RAAF base. There will definatly be some spectacular, fast, furious and noisy flying action to be seen !!

If you are flying, make sure your there about 8:30 to register and bring your MAAA card !!

Please email Jeremy and let him know if your flying so he can organise the race order, this saves some time on the day.

What a top day it was, and a great presence from PRCAC !!

The weather was perfect. There was some great flying and very close racing indeed

The Richmond guys were Fantastic hosts and cooked an excellent BBQ

It was great to see so many heats of electric Planes and even better still to give the competition a good hurry up, once again Wink

might i add that jason is coming up through the ranks in the viper class , did consistent 105 second times over 10 laps , placing 2nd overall . this class is very exciting gas class and they fly slightly faster than a rarebear . most of the races the guys were doing 10 laps all within 3 seconds of each other .
me myself saw the demise of 2 rarebears and overall got the wooden spoon of the races , finishing 8th . but that wasnt last , as some people didnt place due to dnfs . throughout the day i counted 9 planes going down and out for the count , probably bin material not all of these were racing at the time , but thats the nature of the game . IT IS 10 10THS RACING AFTER ALL , consistancy and luck wins !!
practice runs in the morning seen an ef1 plane slice my 1st rarebear in half in a mid air collision , te sparebare was not running well but times were improving duruing the day and for some strange reason , became a rocket . however after one launch all of a sudden the sparebear became nose heavy and uncontrolabble spiralling to its demise .
adrenalin +
as a spectator watching the q400/500 classes at 300km/hr is simply a must see .

patience !!Biggrin paaatience !!Paranoid paaaaaatience Tounge paaaaaaatieeence Lol dooooohhhh !!! Upset

DANGER WIFE CAN READ FORUMS . love you darling . sig changed .

Here's a great bit of video Wingtipper took, The planes/pilots are: Red FFC Mustang (Ranjit with Ian L calling) White Rarebear Jason A with Craig S calling. White extra fast scratch built with yellow wing tips (not quite FFC legal) Adrian C with Steve H calling. Red White & Blue RareBear yours truly with James M calling.

Jason A did a few great times on Sunday!! I seem to recall one clean sub 110 in there, which is pretty hot for a first time out !!! Gotta watch those cuts tho' the 10% penalty is a killer !!
