Don't do anything to the hinges they are fine
I used gap filling CA to glue it together it fits well and that's the lightest way
Mine is one of the older ones it's had many flights and is still going fast
Even got a second ahead of JAG on sunday with it................as usual there was much Rubarb Rubarb about the graupner prop
