Here are notes with details of technique for some of the above manoeuvres.

KNIFE EDGE SPIN

"Fly into the wind, pull the throttle back to about 50-percent power and apply down-elevator and left aileron and rudder. The model will tumble but will soon enter a knife-edge spin, or a tumbling spin.
You need to hold the same inputs throughout the maneuver, but some models may react differently. If you have too much down-elevator deflection, your model may enter an upright flat spin. If you find that this is the case, you must decrease the endpoint values of your control surfaces. Start by decreasing elevator deflection, and if the model still does not want to do a knife-edge spin, slightly decrease aileron deflection, too.

to start, enter vertical dive and start left aileron spin, then slowly add left rudder AND full down elevator. Once off-axis spin starts SLOWLY release left ail, leaving in place full L rud and full down ele.

I was very pleased to see the KE spin work today in a session at the field, although only in about 1/3 of my attempts. Its easier on some models than others.

for upright flat spin, reduce power, fly into wind keeping plane level, just before stall apply full rudder.

I find the upright spin hard to achieve; however in the course of a blender when preparing to exit the manoeuvre I get a good inverted flat spin most times.

POP TOP
This is the best demonstration and description I have found. A pop top is the same as a blender, except the blender starts with a vertical dive, while the pop top starts with a fast vertical climb.

CRANKSHAFT (also known as a LOMCEVAK)

It is described as a knife edge spin, except the wing is horizontal. That is, while in a KE spin the wing is vertical as the tail rotates around it, in a crankshaft the wing is horizontal as the tail rotates around it. Start in knife-edge flight, then climb at 45 degrees and enter a series of tumbles, then regain control and fly away.

step 1:
first get into knife edge with left aileron; use left aileron with right rudder to enter the forty five degree climb; increase the power to keep it steady in that 45 degree angle
step 2:
when you're ready for the tumble you want full R rudder; cut power, and you want full R aileron and you want full down elevator; hold those sticks in the corners to perform this tumble
When you're ready to finish, let go of both sticks bring them to the center, regain control and then fly away

cut power, and enter vertical dive
full R aileron to commence vertical spin
after 1-2 sec, apply full L rudder to achieve a wobbly spin
wait 1-4 sec to apply sufficient down ele to create a flat spin
when its time to exit, zero aileron, zero rudder, use down ele to maintain inverted level flight
