Some Pics of the HK Yak 55m I brought to replace the super and cheaper one
I had some issues with the HK Yak's paint work on the cowl so I ended up repairing the super and cheaper Yak while I fought HK over the cowl. Eventually (months later) a nice new cowl turned up so I thought I might put this machine together as well. Then I'll have a spare Yak 55 M
The two models are very close to the same size. The HK one should be a little lighter, not that the other is overly heavy but less is more !!
below is a pic of the fuse sitting out on the bench ready for a bit of work.
Meet Charles, or Chuck as he prefers to be known
Here he is getting used to his new lodgings
Charles came up from South Australia a few weeks ago, My mate Doug has a collection of pilot molds and kindly sent him over.
I hope he enjoys his new vocation I'm sure it will have it's ups and downs

“The knack of flying is learning how to throw your machine at the ground and miss.”
"When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your thoughts turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return." ~Leonardo Da Vinci
