So it looks like the O4 will support the Goggles N3 as well.
904
Haha yes, the why is definitely because it would be an interesting challenge, rather than any specific need
904
Yes it did come with an o3 already.
I purchased the second o3 air unit to put in a fixed wing plane. I've also ordered a head tracker and two small ELRS receivers, one to act as a TX on the head t...

That's interesting. I've recently purchased a standalone o3 air unit as they are relatively cheap right now. Good to hear that the o4 will work with the goggles 3. I wonder if the new cheaper N3 goggl...

Hi Greg, I'll buy them all please

I bought liftoff, well worth the $20. I'll have a look for those tutorials, thanks!

I did my first flight with my quad today and yes I used angle mode! One less thing to worry about when you're learning to fly or trying a new drone.
Angle mode doesn't change the way the quad contr...

I'll grab them off you! Thanks :)
My drone should arrive tomorrow

There's a new firmware for the googles 3 out today.
Still waiting for FPVFaster to ship mine :(
406
So I went all in and ordered a iflight nazgul 5in drone with the o3 air unit, and the goggles 3. Why not jump in the deep end!
406
I see the o3 air unit is now a fair bit cheaper at most stores. Getting ready for the o4 unit release?
Unfortunately, drones with the o3 built in have not dropped in price, so I might just get an ...

On a semi-related note, in the upcoming version 4 of ELRS, You'll be able to arm/disarm your O3 air unit directly from the ELRS receiver.

I modified the motor mount to have mounting hole spacing that suits my 3530 motor (holes at 19mm and 25mm)

Thanks Stephen, I'll print that stl for mine and put it together.
Looking forward to trying it out

That is a bit concerning!

I asked on the ELRS discord, and there is apparently an 'AU915' mode, which may restrict it to legal frequencies for us
1,016
'915MHz' in US use is 902 to 928MHz, so we can't use the lower half of that.
I wonder if there will be a mechanism to select a subset of frequencies.
1,016
This is an interesting development, however bear in mind that the 868 to 915MHz frequencies are not legal for use in RC in Australia.
We can use 915 to 928MHz but I don't think the new modules supp...

That's a good summary. Thanks Greg and Ian.
If anyone has an concerns about getting started with ELRS, rest assured that the majority of it is 'set and forget'. Once you have binding, dynamic power...

Good info, thanks.
I'm not interested in analog video, i figure if I'm going to do it, then i want to do it properly.
I like the look of the goggles 3. Perhaps the mobula is the way to go
646
You're describing my recent train of thought. I've been eyeing off a small 2S drone with the O3 air unit for a while (a happymodel Mobula8 (https://phaserfpv.com.au/collections/dji-o3-air-unit-compati...

The Matek R24-P6 product page (https://www.mateksys.com/?portfolio=elrs-r24-p6) specifies the firmware to use. It is confusing if you're not aware of that though.

I suggest your method is too complex. Many members may be flying with ch 5 not armed (see PRCAC thread), which means the dynamic power is not as fast...

Ok, just watched the video. It can use the included wire.
I'm looking at getting a Radiomaster ER8 soon, so i might make up an FTDI to jst-gh adapter cable to suit

Yes the matek r24-P6 receivers need to use the DIY2400 Ex target in Configurator < 1.6, and the generic ESP8285 target in newer versions.
Does the ER6 do firmware updates through the CRSF port? It ...

I'll attach it later when I get to my PC.
The full power section was a vertical climb to altitude (in the 'danger zone' at PRCAC), so I suspect that was what precipitated the change in RSNR.

Time is now in seconds (or milliseconds for very short flights :) ) since the start of the log, and you can now scale and offset a trace up or down the graph.
