You know what would really sick Steve, if you had a few red LEDS around the exhaust that are on all the time as well as a few more yellow or white ones that are staggered between the red ones that run...

Welcome to the club Steve... you might be a little concerned about the ramifications ie: a few nights on the couch, but once you get the big T into the air, you will have a smile a mile wide.

Well if the friggin weather continues the way it has for the last 6 to 9 months we might as well all throw our batteries in the bin.

Hey Dave If you need another option, I have some very small servo speed controllers that have reversers built in. They are yours if you need them.

I use Sikaflex 241. It dries very hard but can be cut with an exacto knife for removal if required. It is a marine adhesive sealant available from some hardware stores and shipchandlers.

Weather permitting....ha ha haaaaa. I will give the big Trojan a fly at A51 tomorrow. Franks and Georges both fly well so Im not stressed about the performance, however if the motor doesn't cut the m...

I finished my Trojan last night at 11 pm, dropped in the battery to test everything and when I hit the retract down switch everything worked except the right hand door just went "click,click,click,cli...

I have to agree, the idea of having variable flap positioning might sound practical and would be if you were sitting in the aircraft and had that seat of the pants sensitivity as you do in a light air...

I also pulled mine out of the box last night. And quickley decided that this aircraft would require a few tiny but crutial upgrades to pass my G load tests (also know as aerobatic flight). I have cut...

Thanks for taking the time to read our build thread Space Angel. You will love the big Super Tucano, they fly very scale, the only problem with the airframe is that it is very heavy, once you add all...

Yes it will mate, but I am trying to keep the weight down in the thing, thats why I am trying this out. If it is still a little lack lustre in performance I can up the S rating, but I will try it on 6...

Change of plans George. Picked up an OS 375 from H in the H. I will replace the OS 490 that I am running in it on 6S at the moment with the 375. the 490 is running out of puff spinning the 15 x 8/2 ...

I was running this motor on 10S in my Sebart Sukhoi 140 spinning a 20 x 12 2 blade, it weighed 4.6 kgs and flew like magic, until a BEC failure killed it. I would actually rather run an Eflite 160 245...

Hi George Just thought I would give you a little update on my Super Tucano. The last few times I've flown it (at PEMAC) it has been pulsing a lttle at full throttle, and that is something that both...

Sweet ...... thats a good idea, I couldn't be stuffed driving all the way out there with the weather so unpredictable.... I think I will fly at McCoy!

Forgot all about this different insurance stuff, sorry mate. Until MOP 57 is sorted, you can't fly at Penrith. I don't like to look of the weather at this stage either, "It's blowing a friggen gale" s...

Hey George. Sorry I had to leave in such a hurry on Sunday, I wanted to help with your trials but got called away. How did your testing go?

I'm happy to talk you through a flight at McCoy George, but in all sincerity I wouldn't fly it there until you have a few flights under your belt and are comforable with the beastie at a place where a...

Happy to help out with a PEMAC visit George. You will want to fly it in some space first, It is very fast on approach even with full flaps and flying it slower than you think you should be. I have h...

Its definately better than the Hacker A50-14 but cant really be compared to the 50-16 because it has a much higher kv. So it's sort of on the middle but not....if you get my drift.
110,731
Maiden flight report Take 2 (sort of) With the new OS motor ready for action I headed out to PEMAC for some flight testing. The difference in throttle response between the Hacker and the OS is huge....

Yes George, Lookin good! But do me a favour and paint that bloody spinner. Mine was red too. Now its black. Although I am thinking about painting it chrome, to make it look "fully sick" bro.

That looks great George, I would cut a hole in the foam you have against the forward bulkhead to allow some airflow through the aircraft to cool your ESC and battery otherwise things may tend to get a...

Yeh was thinking about putting my Hacker A60-22 out of my big Sukhoi in it. It is 217kv and currently spinning a 20 x 16 prop running on 10S. It could spin a 16 x 14 without even trying. That would w...
110,731
Yes but the prop to ground clearance only allows a maximum prop of 16" diameter. So a big low kv motor would be counter productive.
110,731
You dead right there Kieran, After todays trials I will see what modifications may be afoot.
