Wayne, on the ESC side with bullets, RED (+) is a male connector and the BLACK (-) is female. Note that not all bullets are the same size. Best to get bullets that match the batteries when they arrive...

If you crash a T28 it is definitely pilot error (a.k.a "dumb thumbs").
